geeogree :  If there was only 1 change you could make (and it would happen exactly how you envision it) what change would you make to Vizzed....

This is a questions that is very hard to answer simply because well. Whilst my perspective may look at one thing, another person will look at something else... I feel that if I could change ANYTHING about the site it would be that their was no running costs of Vizzed so that David had less pressure and could casually work on making the site more enjoyable, Alas as that's a change that won't happen realistically,  My change would be to make it so that there was more transparency with decisions, because it would save a lot of arguing, and would probably help members seek to improve themselves as well. If you don't get told what you did wrong or why you didn't qualify for something then you can't really improve either. Perhaps something akin to a forum where threads are made giving brief descriptions on what decisions were made and why, they wouldn't have to be overly detailed either.

Obviously some things don't need people looking into them too much, but with this I feel that it'll strengthen the bond between staff and user and maybe improve the attitude and general feelings towards the site and decisions made.

Interesting. So, for example, a user breaks a rule and gets banned for it - you would make a thread in a forum set aside for this purpose in order to inform that user, and others, the reason why the ban was given out.

How would you deal with situations where people disagree with the ban and you've now given them a place where they can come and argue with you....

I feel that in this case discussion and explanation are the best ways to go about it, After all on a forum like this complaints will happen and sometimes they might not even be logical, especially when friends and emotions are involved. It may not work 100% of the time, but then again nothing really does. especially in a community forum.

However i feel that it'd lead to a degree of trust from the community to the staff and these events will become rarer and rarer as the community begins to trust the mods more and as a result the whole community will come closer as a whole.

Congrats on making the top three. I have a/multiple scenario(s) for you and want to know how you would act in each one. I'm gonna be asking the other 2 candidates too.
A trusted member and a regular member are having a conflict.
Scenario 1: The member claims to have been cheated by the trusted member out of his/her _______ (e.g. steam code, gift code ,etc.) There isn't any substantial evidence pointing to whether the regular member is lying, or was actually scammed.
Scenario 2: This time the trusted member was cheated of his/her _______ (e.g. steam code, gift code, etc.)
How would you react to both of the scenarios?

Mangepic : For me both situations are exactly the same it doesn't matter what rank you are.

The issue is that with no circumstantial evidence there's not much you can do except ask for both sides of the story, talk to the "cheated" about possible prevention in the future to get "cheated" and then write a report about it, so that we can track whether or not this happens again with the individuals involved. Sadly it's simply a case where you cant "win" and someone will feel hard done by.

Local Mods : May as well close this as the election is over!
