Some romhacks are weird. Some are terrible. Some are artistic and improve on the original design. But others take a darker route, but this one took it up to eleven. When I actually tried to play it, I almost suffered a literal heart attack! So is this the kind of zombie apocalypse scenario we wanted to see?
Graphics: Pretty good, for some editing of certain Pokemon to look like Fakemon and that they fit in with the zombie apocalyptic design of the game. Though some look a bit weird, they're fine to me, and they still fit well for GBA graphics. Also, it retains some graphics from the original game, like the Pokemon Center from Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen.
Sound: Most Pokemon music and sound are retained from the orignal games, but are otherwise still good. The fact that some Fakemon borrow some sounds from the one that they were based off didn't help.
Addictiveness: NOT FOR ME AT ALL SINCE IT GAVE ME A WHOLE BUNCH OF NIGHTMARES. For the rest of you, it depends on whether you like it or not. I'm not trying it out again.
Story: Well executed for a zombie apocalypse. In spite of having many cliches, it somehow lampshades how dull they are at times (and even lampshades the pop-culture references at times), making it seem a bit interesting
Depth: After all, you gotta catch em all, right? Yep, you're also catching ZOMBIES too. Does this remind you of a certain mobile game by the way?
Difficulty: It gets hard at first, but as you get more powerful by grinding for levels, it gets mostly easier (and thankfully in a good way).
Final Rating: 7.2 (Nightmare Fuel- Honest Game Trailers reference BTW) While the plot and the story is mostly cliched, the constant lampshading at those help maintain its good reputation. While it's not excellent, at least it isn't terrible. If you're nightmare resistant, then you should play this romhack.
