I am surprised. I was going for them, but I did not think they would win.

I'm the only one of any of my friends or co-workers who thought the Saints were gonna win... guess I'm doing some MAJOR bragging over the next few days haha

I called it at the beginning of the season that the Saints were gonna win (although I call a team or two every year and this is the first time I was right haha)

BAH!!!
I didn't want them to win. They prevented my team, the Vikings, from advancing to the SB with the crappy calls by the ref. And they got lucky with that interception. What the hell. And then there is also that soon to be famous Super Bowl dive made by that guy on the Saints into the endzone. They'll be showing that 5 years from now in various commercials as one of those epic moments.

yes, i completely agree with that 'epic moments' thing xD. I also can't believe that onside kick worked out for them. that pat was sooo close to having it lol.

I went to two parties, ate two huge plates at both, and drank 6 beers on top of it.. im really, really bloated right now, and i have my laptop on my stomach lying in bed. its kinda 'speeding up the process' if you know what i mean

I of course watched the entire game, been following both teams all season, Colts were definitely the better team but I'm happy for the Saints for winning. The Saints shouldn't have been in the Super Bowl though, I'm not a Vikings fan (in fact, I'm the opposite, a Packers fan) but wow did they sure get screwed over in the NFC Championship game, a lot of penalty calls the Saints didn't get called for, Vikings deserved to have advanced, not the Saints. It just seemed like everyone has been hyping up the Saints for the longest time, all I've heard about is the Saints, almost as if it was guaranteed they were going to win, didn't hear much about the Colts over the past week or so, just the Saints. I'm happy for the Saints for winning but I definitely think they weren't the better team, and definitely weren't the better team in the NFL Championship game either.

Got Lucky.....? I live in Wisconsin and I will tell you that was not lucky.

Let me bring out the fun facts of Brett Favre.

Last play as a Packer? Interception!
Last play as a Jet? Interception!
Last play as a Viking? Yeah you guessed it, Interception!

Honestly the guy is a little girl. "Ughhh I'm gonna retire until training camp is done then come play"

Sorry but Favre lost all the very little respect I already had for the guy. Rodgers is way better and over time everyone will see it.

Also you wanna talk about who should've advanced? The Packers had A LOT of terrible calls.

"Also you wanna talk about who should've advanced? The Packers had A LOT of terrible calls." - Randy

I definitely agree with that as well. There were at least 3 huge penalties that didn't get called, and an offensive pass interference in the endzone by fitgerald on woodson which never got called (and because of that, resulted into a touchdown). Yeah, a lot of terrible calls in that game too.

But I do think if Favre can still play, why not let him? I think it's wrong that people should tell a man that he should retire when he's still a top quality quarter back, actually it's not wrong, it's sick, it's his life and he should be able to make his own decisions, not the decisions of critics. Sure I lost a lot of respect for him after he left the Packers and eventually joined the Vikings but I don't hate him to death, I still enjoy watching him play even if it's for my most hated team, he's a legend.

well, I think it's less that we think he should retire and more that he should make up his mind one way or the other. If you're done playing then retire and stay retired.... if you're not done then don't claim to be retiring and then come back.

Well the thing is, it's a big decision, I'm sure it's very difficult to know when is the right time to retire. I also think it's the media that makes the situation seem annoying by constantly showing coverage of it and making a big deal about it. I do also think that he retires to avoid the training camps because he seems to come out of retirement once those are finished

yeah, it is a big decision.... but the season ends in January (or earlier for some teams ) so he should have about 6 months to think about it.

I'm just glad it's over so that we can stop hearing about football on the sports networks and finally get some more hockey and basketball coverage.

Im still a bit mad but il get over it soon
Ive been a colts fan since i watched NFL but looking back we have won before and its a honor to even play in that game im proud that we made it there.

Chargers choked to a young team in there homefield in the first play off game for them. They can also be reminded for ever that they made the wrong choice.

Who Dat Gonna Beat Dem Saints? I guess no one was going to beat them and anyone who thought they wouldn't make it all the way was just lying to themselves. I called the Saints to go to the Super Bowl in the 7th week of the regular season and no they ain't my favorite team the Buffalo Bills are. It's just being smart about it. I also called the Colts to make it to the Super Bowl and even though I like the Colts more cause I'm a big fan of Peyton Manning who I think is the best quarterback in the NFL I still picked the Saints to beat them. I'm sorry Drew Brees is a rising star who will only get better from this point on. So everyone watch out for next year cause if the Saints don't lose a key player look for a repeat or at the very less another Super Bowl trip for Dem there Saints!!!
