Epic Battle Fantasy 4 is probably my favorite PC RPG in recent memory. While the humor may not amuse everyone, the battle system is very deep and fun and the characters are very customizable. The game is free on Newgrounds and Kongerate but you can buy a Steam version that has a better resolution and less load times, as well as some minor additional content.

Renowned Explorers is also a very fun strategy/RPG. You play as 19th century explorers as you explore the world in search of treasure, wealth and grand stories to tell. It's a helluva lot of fun with charming visuals and solid gameplay. It can be very hard at first and feels cheap but you can quickly get a hang of things.

Defenders Quest is pretty awesome. Its a Tower-Defense RPG mix with a deep and interesting story and bright visuals. The characters are very likable and the chemistry between them is pretty good. The story can be very wordy at times and tells more than shows, especially near the middle.

Chroma Squad is a beutifal Tactical RPG with an amazing concept (Power Rangers RPG!) and a lot of neat ideas. The gameplay is standard, but fun and the maps are very open. Unfortunately, the characters are very one-note and the plot tries to push an agenda that not everyone may agree with, it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so blatant about it. Not all the ideas work either, like the Mech battles are horrible, luck based battles with no strategy and they're so repetitive.

DARKANINE :   I have actually played Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and beat it on Kongregate's page.  I used to play a good many of their games, but I wanted to get back into some old school console games, so I found Vizzed thankfully.  I can't begin to tell you how much money I put into this one game.  You could get cards and use them to fight other people or do your quests.  It was really fun, but I can't remember the name of it.  If I remember correctly, in Epic Battle Fantasy, you could click on the female characters chest and they would jiggle...lol.  The music was really good too.  I really liked that one.  Thank you for the recommendations.  I will look into the others

Try the Star Ocean games. They are pretty long and have a lot for you to do. Like cooking,making armor or items or a weapon,learning new skills. But you might want to invest in a strategy guide or have a walkthrough handy.
