Davideo7 : Well, that makes more sense for a Game Characters forum. One more place to write lengthy documents is very welcome. Will the current Video Game Character Managers be tasked with such documents, or will there be a "Character Bio Writer" role in the future?

So, basically, the Lets Play Online forum is meant to achieve what the Video Game Collection feature hasn't been able to do? Let's see if this time it works, and maybe more users start using that feature more. Also, being able to plan sessions for any game can come in handy for streamers.

TornadoMudkip : The first sentence of your post pretty much defines what the European Revolution will be, if David ever gets around it. Also, I'm fearing many people will bring things like the World Wars up, so most often than not Europe won't be treated nicely on historical events (most of which should better stay in the past and not brought up).

Geography is a different thing, of course, I'm already foreseeing a "What is the tallest mountain in your country" thread and many similar things in there

For the Let's Play Online forum, what about a way to list/showcase achivements? Either a feature or threads for XBOX Achivements, PSN Trophies, ETC.

What in the world would you talk about in the history and geography forum? Really? I just don't see how much people can talk about history or geography.... I see a book forum doing better than that.

I think adding history/geography to the school forum would make more sense than giving it its own forum.

As for books - the forum isn't even called books so I don't think people even consider posting about books in there right now. I could easily see people posting more in a forum if they knew it was about books.

EX Palen : Yup I know. The main forums are meant to be for everyone. Yes the World Wars and other terrible things that happened are very likely to become topics. But history isn't always negative, the discovery of phones and Internet for example are great!

geeogree : About history and geography of course. More detailed - about things what happened in the past (can be anything like about the first farming people and colonization and even gaming history) and about the world, cultures, different countries, climates etc. I guess I am a history and geography freak or something, lol.

fair enough I guess, I just don't see it being more active than books would be and it might be better served to be included on the school forum which is already slow and combined might actually make for a more active forum....

although, school threads aren't exactly about specific subjects like history.... I dunno. I just don't see that forum being very active at all but you seem to be really excited about it.

I know this conversation is meant for the mods, but I got something that I need to say. I don't see anyone being more interested in posting on a geography forum rather than books. I mean, I don't read that often, but even I woud be far more likely to post in a books forum than geography. What would there even be to talk about there? Books seems like a far more broad subject that far more users would be interested in posting in than geography. If there is a geography forum, I can almost guarantee that a majority of the rented forums will have more activity than geography.

I agree with geeogree that geography would fit more in the school forum, which is another forum I rarely visit.

I personally find the idea of a history/geography forum or books/literature forum really interesting but I think both forums are kind of niche ideas that in the end will really only interested a few select people really interested in those areas, especially with less people reading books in their spare time. I can't really think of any good alternative right now though so I guess it may still be worth a shot. Don't think it should be part of the school forum since that would likely just end with it being used as part of people looking to get help with their homework in stead of having serious discussions as well.

I like the let's play idea but I think it should be changed into a forum that can also be used for discussion of online games and not just for finding people as that title kind of implies.

I don't like the idea of a video game music forum, doesn't really seem like an area that's broad enough to warrant it's own forum but would be better fit as part of the other video game forums or as a rented forum possibly.

Davideo7 : is he information forum only available for you to post threads, or are the staff allowed to post things for like things in the RGR and such?

Barathemos : I imagine David will want to write most of those himself.

However, I think it could be extremely helpful to write for him and allow him to review/edit the topics himself and then post them.

Maybe bring it up in the site staff forum and summon him about it so we can have a more in depth discussion.

I love all of these new ideas, especially the Game Characters one. There are many reasons that it should be added, such as people needing to know the backstory between characters before playing a game, as they will not know why (or how) things came to be like they are in the game.

As for my ideas, I have none for V-Ville North or South, but as for Entertainment, I have an idea. I'm sure there are so many others that already said it, but just in case there isn't, I am posting this now so I don't forget it. Books & Literature should be added because none of the other forums completely calibrate with literature and reading. Sure, Comics do, but these cannot be sorted into a category of non-animated or truly informal readings, such as E-Books, or publications based on actual history.

I have to agree with geeo.
Comics/Manga/Cartoons/Anime should stay together.

I also think that History and Geography seems like it could be a sub forum of school as geeo also suggested.

I still think the next bunch of forums should be like this:

Vizzed Ville North - Cafe and Guys N Girls split up.

Entertainment - Books and Literature

Vizzed Ville South - Computer/tech from north, also update the stories forum to be descriptive about it being the place where people show off their personal creations of stories/art etc.

Gamer's Circle - I could see Minecraft being a forum here since the site hosts a minecraft server. Also makes more sense than the streamers forum which could be added to websplurge. Really might as well just take the existing Minecraft forum and move it into this section.

Vizzed.com - Game Characters forum - this one seems to be decided upon.

I really want this figured out before too much more time goes by because I'm going to be making moderator decisions soon and I want to have all the forums finalized.



Also, history could also go into the debate forum. It's not like history is exactly set in stone for a lot of people. Many events in history are still being figured out and debated and the truth of what happened seems to change with every new discovery. Just an idea there.

I agree with geeo that it would be a good idea to split the debate forum from the news forum.

I also like the idea to make a "netplay" type forum for users to talk about online gaming with Vizzed. There really needs to be some activity in that area to further increase traffic to the netplay area. I'm always confused on why more people don't take advantage of that feature of the RGR.

Maybe we could also come up with some sort of daily challenge forum, where we give out prizes to people that can beat certain game challenges in a short (day or two) time frame?

geeogree : Maybe we should change the name of Stories to Vizzed Artists? If the books subforum is going to have its own forum, then it will only focus on fan-work from our community, be it stories, poetry, drawings... 

And I'm in for including History in the Debate forum, now that we have "eliminated" the News part of that forum. As you say, many historical things are still being discussed and sorted out, and we could even discuss about the consequences some of them have brought upon society for the best or for the worst.

You seemingly forgot about Let's Play Online. While I admit it's a secondary option after Minecraft, due to its popularity on the site, it would be a very useful forum, dedicated both to netplay in Vizzed and online gaming in modern consoles. Tournaments, trophy/achievement hunt competitions, multiplayer streams... Add to this the fact that PS4 allows you to have friends join a game they don't own, meaning you could also test with another Vizzed user a PS4 game you're unsure to get. 

EX Palen : yeah, something like that. I know there are plenty of people who are creative but that forum name doesn't really explain quickly what it is about. A name change could help.

I didn't forget about the Netplay but figured it would go with Websplurge somehow.... maybe I said streaming instead of Netplay but that's what I meant.

Jordanv78 : the news forum is already done.

As for netplay, why don't we either take over websplurge or combine them together to make a net play section? Websplurge is pretty dead right now and this might help.

I'm bumping this again and will continue to do so until we get more forums made. I feel like we've got enough ideas for forum ideas to get this done we just need David to agree and get going on it.

geeogree : Since I am the guy behind the Minecraft forum being made on Vizzed and possibly becoming a permanent forum, wonder if that will mean that I have to auction off my rented forum since it won't be a rented forum anymore.

I'll wait on David to see what he says regarding that forum.

IgorBird122 : I imagine the forum would just move from the rented forum area to the regular forums and have a slight name change.

You might get to continue modding it or you might just get a refund of what you paid for it.

geeogree : True, it will be moved and renamed to just "Minecraft" and my modding fate for that forum, it depends on what the future is in store. The only one knows is David.
