I think there was a poll about this somewhere but more likely it was closed with age, so I figure I posted this.

Both me and other user on here were chatting around about a game called "Oddword Abe's Oddysee". and we discussed also about the remake "New 'n Tasty", and she much prefer the original game over the remake and this sparked an idea for me, so I made this thread.

What do you more prefer, the Original Version of the game or the Remake?

With me, mostly it depends on the game really, like for an examples, they are a few games out there that I much rather play the remake than the original but that is very rare though, Most of the time though, I rather play the original version over the remakes.

Well for me that no brainier I prefer the original. Because its rare for me to play a remake of a game and to like it.. I don't mind changes but if it isn't how I like it of course I wouldn't like it. I enjoy the original games more as it is rare for me to play any new remake games.

It really depends on the game.  For example, there are many who prefer the FF I/II remakes to the originals.  I am among them.  I also much prefer Star Fox 64 3D over the original.  For me, there is nearly no "nostalgia factor".  I just like a good game, whether or not it's a remake.
