frankly, hoochman (nice name by-the-way. Nothing like alcohol to show the true side of a x-tian.)You don't know what true strength is. If you have to rely on some cutesy story and a bunch of other people, you are not strong enough. I don't need some church or book of fairy tales to keep me going day-to-day.

Bobbynibbles : I would like to know how you can make the generalization that Christians are weak people. It's clearly a false accusation.

Bobbynibbles : first off if your going to insult a group of people be courtiouse enough to put the christ in the word and second what your basically saying is you have no freinds you can rely on and you dont like books? jees your gana be lonely when your older. if noone could rely on anything or anybody then alot of us would be dead, i would, but i guess since you dont rely or have anyone to rely on then you have nothing to lose anyway. its true you could theoretically go day to day without thes things but eventually your gana wana stop going from day to day. some one with disloyalty is some one who deserves no respect but some one who is only loyal to themselves is even worse. no offense by the way

Bobbynibbles : Here you go again with you're ridiculously arrogant accusations. I do not drink, I hate alcohol, I was thinking fast for a user name, and so hoochman came to mind. I know exactly what true strength is. So do lots of Christians. Part of being a christian is giving up you're own personal desires and everything that means the most to you for God. That is one of the hardest things for a person to do, it takes true strength not to give in, but for you to insult like a child just because we don't believe everything was made by accident is the mark of a coward. And no the bible does not contain fairy tales. Maybe you should actually get off you're butt and do some research on it.

*Bump*

I am a Christian but I don't belong to a denomination, so I would say that I'm non-denominational. I'm not opposed to denominational Christians, only their over emphasis on doctrinal differences. Although Martin Luther played a significant role in Christian church reformation, disagreements have led to several splinter groups known as Protestant denominations.

Many of these groups are convinced that they alone are right and subscribe to certain foundational beliefs such as the deity, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The Bible however says, "The solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: The Lord knows those who are His" (2 Timothy 2:19). In the words of Tomas Jefferson, "I don't believe there is a Quaker, Presbyterian, Methodist, or Baptist in heaven. In heaven, God knows no distinction."

I believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is God's love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians. Further, I don't believe that just because you belong to a certain church or agree with a certain pastor makes you a Christian.

I think it's important as a Christian to have a personal faith, and not to just claim yourself to a church. Also important, is to not take the words of a pastor and simply apply them to your life without being an individual before God.

As far as other religions for me, I think it is well said that religion is our way of trying to deal with our guilt. Different religions have different ways of attempting to rid themselves of sin and its consequences. They fast, pray, deny themselves legitimate pleasures, or chasten themselves, often to a point of inflicting pain and injury.

They do this because they have a concept of what they God (or the gods) is like, so they seek to establish their own righteousness. The gospel of the Christian faith says that no one needs to suffer the pains of religious works. Jesus took our punishment upon Himself so He is the only One who can save us from sin and its consequences.

I am a Christian, but I have many different beliefs than some Christians.

For instance, I won't believe for a second that a man or woman can go to church, be saved, say their prayers every night, give to the community, take care of their families, and still be sent to hell because they're gay. I know people will argue that 'It says in the Bible that "One man shalt not lay with another man"' or whatever. But I can argue that the Bible was written by man. Not God. I can also argue that the Bible has been changed a lot since the time it was first written. For all we know, a prejudice scribe could have written that part into the bible to make everyone think God said it.

With me, that's one of the main differences. I won't get into the rest.

Please don't flame me. If you want to debate with me (which I'm more than happy to do) PM me.

I don't really believe in religion, period. I believe that a god of some sort created the universe one time, but do I believe the stories of Adam & Eve and when the world ends the four horsemen of the apocalypse will come? No. That's why my religion is Pastafarian, because it's a parody of religions. R'amen!

Ooh..some of you are just gonna hate me...lol. For the record, I am an Orthodox Christian - literally. Russian Orthodox, ROCOR jurisdiction. That's not why you're going to hate me...this is. Lol

ONE : Christianity is a religion. Religion isn't a bad thing. All religion is is a set of beliefs regarding Deity, faith, moral commandments, eschatology, afterlife, etc. ad infinitum. Claiming otherwise generally ( not always) means you follow a very generic concept of Christianity.

TWO : Sorry, but without works, there is no faith. There's lip service, but that's not quite the same. Christ did not command us to say a prayer and sit back and listen to someone talk at us and feel good afterwards. His commandments were all active verbs - "go forth", "preach" "do unto the least of these", the list goes on. He told us specifically to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick and imprisoned, house the homeless and to take up our cross and follow Him. Sure sounds like work to me.

THREE : Just because it was mentioned (put two or more Protestants in the same room as Catholics and it's guaranteed), a brief word about that other Baptist bugaboo, tradition. Two types exist. There's tradition, man-made stuff that has no real salvific import - clasping your hands when praying or singing "Amazing Grace". Then there's Tradition - St. Paul mentions it, it's that which has been passed down from God, the Apostles, the Church Fathers and the Church itself. This includes prayer, scripture (ie the Bible as it is known came from such Tradition) Communion and even the Church itself. Again, like religion, Tradition isn't a bad thing, just a word that raises hackles.

I was going to say more, but I had better stop here lest I offend. My sincerest apologies if I have, indeed, offended.

Just my two cents (accounting for inflation.)

I dont follow any religion but i believe in god so i dont know which answer to vote for lol.
Of course sometimes my parents make me celebrate festivals even though i am not hindu or christian but i dont mind most of the time. I do not follow religion because i dont think it helps to go to church and pray everyday or do things for god etc.

I think I'm a very mild form of nihilist. I believe that morals do not exist, I believe that life is meaningless aside from the meanings we project onto it, but I believe in a creator. I don't believe in worship, though. A creator would be infinitely more complex than anything we could ever comprehend, so we shouldn't even try to. I see the holocaust, Stalin's reign of terror and Khmer Rouge as some good evidence that the creator neither cares about us or even watches us. There's an infinitely large universe for it to focus on, why this tiny planet?

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
