So I'm playing Crystal, and I have two more gym badges to get done with.
Out of NO WHERE did the game do a random restart and put me back 4 hours. [Angry Face]

If you're playing on a cartridge or memory card then that might have something to do with it. I don't know what system you're using for it, but once in a great while that may happen to a select few games. Maybe it was dropped or exposed to something it shouldn't have been around. You're best bet, if using a memory card is to periodically save to a different source as a back up.
