The fun thing will probably be different for everyone but for me, I just love the story. It just wraps itself around me & before I know it, I'm in Hyrule itself. :p

The hardest Zelda game for me would have to be Zelda II. I'd have trouble in that purple castle with the wizard boss, in Volvagia's castle, & in that area with the high fence before the last castle. Those were the worst for me.

The game with the most dungeons would have to be A Link to the Past. It has 12 if you include Hyrule castle. Ocarina of Time hangs a close second with 10 1/2. I say 1/2 because of the well that BongoBongo was imprisoned in. It's sort of like a mini dungeon.

The biggest noticeable difference between the Wii & GC versions would have to be the use of the Wiimote, particularly the fishing & bow shooting mechanics. In the gamecube version, you can control the camera but you can only equip 2 of Link's weapons at a time. They also switched the hand Link uses his sword with because of the sword mechanics in the Wii version.

Is there a Zelda in every Zelda game?

Link's Awakening doesn't have Zelda in it, Majora's Mask only has a flashback of Zelda, & Zelda doesn't appear until late in the plot of the Oracle games. She wasn't originally in need of rescue in the Oracle games so I considered her to appear late in the plot. That's why I included the Oracle games.

How many alternate timelines do you think there are in the Zelda series?

I think there may be at least two, possibly three timelines. The first split would probably occur after OoT with TP following the young Link ending & TWW following the adult ending.

The third is more like something I came up with & would come from the young Link ending of OoT. After they took care of Ganon, Link goes off in search of his lost friend which leads him to Termina. I don't think MM leads to TP but rather starts the 3rd split that leads to the TMC & FS stories. Vaati's powers are pretty similar to Majora's. Their third forms even share the 'Wrath' title so I believe that some of Majora's power remained & made its way to an alternate Hyrule where the Minish exist & Majora eventually possesses Vaati somehow.

Since Ganon is actually in FSA, it could mean that it possibly followed TWW at some point. The Links from those games had similarities so there could possibly be a fourth split somewhere.


I'm more than willing to discuss this in the VG forum.

What is the best Zelda game and why? Why do they call it Zelda when the main character is link? What if Zelda dies? Would it be renamed to the Legend of Link?

The best Zelda game will be different for everyone, but, arguably, I would say it was OoT. The story was great, its graphics were incredible for its time, the gameplay was good, & come on, who doesn't love Ganon as a villain?


It was originally called 'The Hyrule Fantasy: The Legend of Zelda' in Japan but somewhere along the line, it changed to just 'The Legend of Zelda'. I haven't found an official reason for that. Some theories also say that Link was only acting on a prophecy from Zelda so it's her 'Legend'.


Zelda wasn't a part of the plot in MM. She was merely in a flashback. She wasn't even in Link's awakening at all so I don't think they would call it Legend of Link if Zelda died. If you really think about it, both Zelda & Link have died because most of the games feature a Zelda & Link as descendants of the originals although I do think if they decided to completely get rid of one of them, the series would be flushed like a goldfish. As remarkable as Ganon is(favoritism!), I don't think he could hold the series up on his own. :p

I haven't played the FS games but I have played TMC. I enjoyed it. It provided some interesting things to do with the four Links. based on that, I think the FS games would be enjoyable for me. I wouldn't mind seeing more four sword elements similar to what Link had to do in the Stone Tower Temple in MM.

No, I don't have it yet, but I am anxious to try it out. I think the story is interesting. I also think that it's about time Zelda played a more active role in protecting her kingdom than just standing around & not throwing the Master Sword back to Link.

None of these are mine of course(I'm not that good of an artist), but I found them enjoyable....except the scary one. That one was just painful.
