I haven't worked on it to much lately, but I'm starting to get the town together.


I'm gonna assign some members (ones with 100 or more posts) to be the workers at some of the stores, shops and buildings.
Some of the buildings I got Idea's for so far is a Pub (or 2 of them), Hotel, Battle Arena, Arcade (i'm gonna make up little arcade games), few stores and shops and etc.




Also, if Anyone is at all interested in helping out with the game, this is what I could use help with...
Someone could make some Characters for the game,
Someone Could make some Map Tiles and Objects for the game,
Someone could make some Animations for the game, and
Someone could compose 1 or 2 original midi's for the game.

I could probably make some midi's beccause I think I'm pretty good musically. But you would have to hook me up with a midi maker. Since I don't have one. If its not that big you could email it.

I would like to own an game store. Where all sorts of computer games and video games would be selled!

Alright thanks alot. What are the rules for the midi's? Can I steal melodies from other songs? I think I could probably make up some of my own if I had to. My friend recorded some of his guitar work on an mp3, so we would be able to use that. I'm sure he wouldn't even mind doing somthing for the opening of a game.

I can send you some of my midis as examples.

I have another update to the game.

It's not a good update, but it's not really a bad update either, just one of them ugly things...anyway, I decided that all the members with no posts will NOT be in the game, and the members with only 1 post, will all live in apartments and most of the 1 post members will probably not have a sprite (so when you knock on their apartment door, you can talk with them, but you wont see them).

I got an great idea make the 5 posters be in jail for "dishonoring vizzed ville".

David, maybe you will have to use some common sense in choosing which members to put into the game?

I'd say you should have a "Trust Level", that increases when you do something good or right, and decreases when you do something bad or wrong.

You could choose what to say to the different persons in the game, to do things for them, such things. If you said the right thing or did something for them, you got higher Trust Level. However, if you say wrong things or say that you'll do something, but don't do it, it goes down. The higher your Trust Level, the more things you can do in the game.

Also, I think that ANY member could be spoken too, even the jailed ones. You could also select what to say to them, and to do things for them. Of course, if the person has got a high status, the bigger the influence on the Trust Level. I other words, being trusted or mistrusted by a prisoner wouldn't count as much as being trusted or mistrusted by a moderator.

Another thing I would like to see is day/night switching, random weather, and a system that makes the game bigger and bigger depending on how long you have played it.

I just wanna be bad ass, since I'm a full mod...

I wanna be able to kick some major ass.... regardless of what I'm supposed to do, and regardless of whether or not I'm actually "me".... I want the geeogree character to kick a whole lot of ass

As I've might've mentioned before...

Me - Owner of town and Mayor
Randy - My assistant and secratary
Full mods - Town Cherif's (however it is spelt)
Local Mods - Police?

Playable characters will be me, randy, geeogree, michaelvash, maybe john, and possibly 1 other member. They'll only be playable during certain events of the game though.

Yeah, what you said Bustus is good idea's, but as for what you said of doing "good" and "evil" things, that'll be pretty hard for me to do in RPG Maker 95. I already know how I can do it, but it'll require alot of concentration, focus, and thinking to do it, and of course LOTS of time.


The reason I want LOTS of members in the game is because I want the town to be populated, and I want to make it as active as I can. There will be day and night, I've already pretty much got that setup into the game.
As for weather, rain isn't possible in RPG Maker 95, and I dont know of what other weather there could be.

For sure I'll make it so you can talk to every person in the game (every member on the board who has atleast 1 post). Sometimes you will be given options, and you'll have to do enough nice things in the game to become a Trusted Member. If you dont do nice things, or do bad things, than your chances of becomming a trusted member would be bad.


PS-Bustus, I think YOU should play Shenmue 2 for Xbox...that has EXACTLY what you seem to be looking for

*looks around then cracks up* Randy a secratary. lol. Anyways you really seem to be getting into this game. Can you give us a ballpark figure of when we should have our midi's and whatnot in?

Well, I hope to get the game finished by Summer (probably wont), so before summer I guess.
