Yup, this has certainly happened to me xD. The last time it did was probably over a year ago, but whenever this happens, I usually fall out of my bed. My usual dream is me falling down what looks like some sort of Grand Canyon. I'm falling, I'm falling, and then I see the ground. Once I get close to the ground I started breathing heavy in real life. Once I hit the ground, I jerk myself awake because I try to move every way possible to not hit the ground and get hurt. You get scared because you think it's real. That causes you to breathe heavily. Also, when I hit the ground in my dream, I usually try to move as fast as I can out of fear and I fall out of my bed xD.
