About 9 hours ago, I learned about an opportunity to go to North Dakota for 3 weeks to help an organization there. My parents and I weren't optimistic about the probability of me going (due to school, mainly), but we went ahead and scheduled a Dr's Appt to clear me to fly (since I have a mild case of Chicken Pox). The Doctor cleared me, and so we actually started to take it seriously. Late this afternoon, my aunt messaged the contact with the organization my phone number, and I waited for a call. Not long afterwards, I got a call, and qualified! It's an all-expenses paid opportunity to work for about 21 straight days (during daylight hours)! After a couple hours, and long talks between my parents (and occasionally me), we decided to call back with even more questions. During that conversation, my mom told me that I could go! So, basically, I'm going to North Dakota for 3 weeks! And it took all of 8 hours to decide and get cleared to go! I'll even have internet access to keep up with my school at night! Crazy, right?

Oh, did I mention that I won't have to pay anything? I'm freakin excited!!!!

Wow dude, that sounds like a lot of fun, especially since its free. I hope that you have a lot of fun while you are there and that you make the most of your time. 3 weeks is a lot, so I bet there's all sorts of things that you are going to have the time for. Don't forget to take as many pictures as you can and tell us all about the trip when you get back.

In fact, that's what I was wearing when a cop pulled me over when it was 34 outside for being in a park illegally (in my defense, I didn't know it was illegal). He asked me why I was wearing so little. I replied 'I'm Canadian'. He shrugged and kept on talking about other stuff, lol.
