In the past four years, I think the longest was 3 days. I hit that several times.
It was only when I was sick or on trips.

I didn't use the computer much back then, but I did check my email and do homework assignments online.

In the past year, it's been 45 hours or so. I don't even think I've ever skipped two days without a post on here.

The longest I've physically lost internet has only been a few days and I've always managed to find a substitute within 24 hours.

The longest I ever went without net was one and a half years. Sometimes life makes things difficult and in this period, it was indeed rough. To go without it now would be almost devastating considering everything is online. From work to entertainment and even family social circles is all online. The need for the information highway is becoming more and more dire in our daily lives. Some use it to make money, some for emails. Some even use it for online gaming which I use to do also. Well by that I mean I still do online gaming but it sounded good lmao.

The longest I have ever been without Internet was 3 months, we have money problems and we couldn't pay the bill, because moms job pays so low for like no hours. We still have issues with money, but we switched providers. They don't provide fast internet at all, and my internet is so slow my 3G is faster than my home internet x)

There was one time I was without the internet for A WHOLE WEEK because of a problem that our internet provider was having. The internet provider didn't do a good job of explaining the problem, but finally after a week, they got the internet working again. I was never so happy and thankful to have the internet in my life.

In recent memory? Three days. Our router died a couple of years ago and no one would come out to fix it, as it happened on Friday evening. 

I was completely unable to connect with my best friend for those three days, as AT THE TIME, I didn't have a functional cell phone and didn't have her number to begin with. I did a lot of stress-filled game playing in my free hours, but I was miserable because I couldn't even let her know why I wasn't on. 

Sure enough, when we got internet back, she'd been worried that I'd had to go to the hospital again. After that, when I got a cell phone, we exchanged numbers so JUST IN CASE. Also helpful when our net dies thanks to stupid thunderstorms, so we can at least tell each other good night. It's sort of a ritual. XD;

The longest I been without internet was about 12 hours.  Most of it came from a trip while riding to the destination.  Luckily, I had games and other things on my laptop to keep me busy during the ride. 

Since Internet became "a thing" in my life (at about age 15), I would say about 48 hours - over the weekend away from high school.

I wouldn't call it a dependence nor am I ashamed to admit that Internet is an integral part of my life. It's how "markets" work: people act in their (perceived) best interest. And to me, my interest lies in having readily-accessible information and news rather than wait for the 5 o'clock news or the newspaper the day after.

I think the longest I was without internet was about 2 weeks before I couldn't stand it anymore. So, I walked about a mile through knee deep snow to the library. 

Well I got grounded from the internet when I got suspended from school (I'm going to write about that.) I was without internet for two weeks.
And on the other hand, if I have school, since my internet is limited on data usage, I can barely use it on school days. We can use 60gb of data until it starts charging us extra.

The longest I ever had been without Internet was for a whole week when a power break across my entire state occurred a few years ago in a snowstorm. I still remember it was Snowstorm Alfred. It was mid October, tons of leaves still on the trees, the snow had caused many trees to break and cause power breaks state-wide. For me, I lost all power for only a week. Many other parts of the area had been several weeks from the storm. Terrible experience, let me tell you that.

The longest I've gone without internet was for a week. I have had several instances where I don't long onto vizzed or even visit the internet for 2 or 3 days at most though. The internet is such a large part of my life that I find myself coming back to. If you took away my phone and computer, I could still easily live without internet (not that I'd want to) but since it is just readily available, I end up spending excessive amounts of time on it when I should be spending that time on more important matters. 

The majority of the instances in which I don't use the internet is when I'm either not feeling well, or I just plain don't feel the need. Thankfully, I rarely ever lose internet as a result of a storm or power outage. Nevertheless, the internet consists of a very large portion of my life whether I want to admit it or not. 

I go without internet for about one week every year and that is about the longest I have been without internet, however next year its going to be a lot longer as I'm going to get a job at a summer camp and they don't have internet :/

A few days. Some workers cut the cable and the whole street was completely dark. It got fixed like 4 days after, but those were 4 of the hardest days of that year :p

Around a year or so. Money was tight during those times.

Probably 3 weeks. I went to Cambodia during my summer break last year to help out troubled families and kids just to give them a little bit of a boost in life 

A week when we visited some family a few states away. It was so boring and awkward.

Unless you count heavily restricted company access, around 36 years I'd say. Then I came on and ruined everything I guess.

Since being able to access the web in about 2007, I think the longest period without internet would probably be no more than 2 weeks, possibly 3. It's usually due to vacationing or computer problems that I used to have many years ago. I'm quite involved with the internet, but not to the extent where I can't unplug for a few weeks.

The first 5 years of my life. 
The second longest is 3 weeks.

Sighs* I remember those days I am sure it was like for 3-4 years after collage. our oldest computer broke down. It was when I couldn't handle it anymore, that I asked my mum to buy me my own laptop. I even almost forgotten or had of the shows that I used to watch on tv. '-'
