I have dreaded seeing Meta Knight come back after his OP strength with his 4-frame down smash of his dealing 16% damage and being spammable to major extents. You know how OP his recovery is, right? He can glide TWICE in one hop! Plus, he can stall the entire 8-minute match with his extreme u-air that makes him the only character with TRUE combo strings in Brawl that does not involve chain grabbing.

He is going to tear Smash 4 apart now. I read the SmashWiki and it says he can no longer glide out of Shuttle Loop! Since Pit can't glide, it might be safe to say that Meta Knight may not be able to glide at all, indicating that he could drop to mid-tier for possibly having bad recovery except that his Drill Rush can help him vertically and his Tornado helps horizontally. Also, since Smash 4 can be safe to say as "Brawl 2.0" Meta Knight might ruin the metagame and make Jigglypuff suck again along with making other Melee top tier characters still in the low tier.

Who knows? He could probably be a more properly balanced character. Also, just because Meta Knight could tear the metagame apart again, means that I might not even buy Smash 4 on the Wii U ever. This is because Meta Knight could be another spammable OP character like in Brawl. I am really mad seeing him confirmed.

So all of those who wanted Meta Knight gone... You got just Sakurai'd or should I say, jinxed.

I bet they will make him way less overpowered than he was in brawl. It is either that or the new characters they are adding will at least put up a good fight to him.

I honestly don't expect him to be majorly nerfed like Captain Falcon was from Melee to Brawl, but I don't expect him to still be OP. I think he'll probably be on the upper half of the middle tier. Project M showed that Meta Knight could be nerfed while keeping the same moveset, so we know it's definitely possible for him to not be top-tier while keeping the same attacks.

I honestly don't mind the fact that he has returned. I think it's cool, I knew for sure he was going to come back, and I know with confidence he won't be too powerful this time around. I don't see why you're so worried he'll be abused again.
