I don't think anyone in my family would care at all, I think they'd be more surprised that I found someone that was actually interested in dating me.. But that's just the sort of humor my mother has really. 

This is the same woman that saw me kissing an ex outside and casually walked up to me and said "Damn, I always assumed you was gay" Laughed and then just walked off.. 

That may seem a bit horrible to some people but it's all about give and take and if you can't mock your family and trust them not to overreact then it'd probably be a bit dull.. 

Also I've pretty much dated most major ethnicity's and my mother never had a problem.. She made a few racist jokes.. But nothing offensive..

If I told my mother that I was dating a woman (or man) of another ethnicity then she probably wouldn't be that bothered about it and would be happy for me as long as said person is genuine and honest but my dad however. Well, lets just say he's racist and would shout down my throat till my lungs exploded. Fun times!

I always thought they'd be really strict but they were actually really supportive. 

My dad is still somewhat protective but even that's starting to fade away. I guess since I'm almost an adult now they're starting to let me be more free with my choices.

Stuff along the lines of oh look whos got a girlfriend ooooo. dumb school yard level stuff. My grandfather ( I live with grandparents )  is a bit racist but it's not to bad and he always controls himself when he is around the race in question so I wouldn't have a problem there.
