Basic Thoughts:
Great game! although it is one of the most basic you could find it is clear to see that it's idea is just amazing, you play as a marble a great thing from childhood that im sure many remember along with games such as this one. the aim is to take your marble and guide it through many various levels and courses avoiding any of the hazards that may try and stop you, such as other marbles to knock you off the track, acid patches that move around and springs that try to jump on your marble. The overall idea and concept of the game would be to get through each level before the timer runs out and any leftover will be carried as bonus onto the next level completing each as fast as you can to beat the game.

Graphics:
The graphics of the game are rather on the good side of things when it comes to comparison with other games and such of the era and consoles, with great work done to make things look crisp and sharp overall just good imaging and design with much effort had been put into making this game look how it is. Overall this game's visual appearance for the time that the game was made is just up on top with other popular titles. So the basic yet great design's worked great for the game and gave it what was needed and the player's had a nice smooth game to look at as well as trying to figure out the best way to play it.

Controls:
The controls of the game would be fairly simple really, depending whether you're using a older console, if you ever had chance to get a hold of a coin and play it in a arcade or just as a ROM online or downloaded with an emulator, its all about just rolling the marble around in a great big balancing and timing game to try and get to where you want in the most efficient way. So its kinda like a gyro system to roll around changing speeds and angles, where any such little mistake could just cost you and cause valuable time loss or even just game over.

Conclusion:
As a result of playing this game many times i still personally have never completed it because it's just that challenging yet addictive and i come back to it all the time even if to only fail where i once have before, the game is a basic yet solid concept that many have loved over the years and will in the future gamers to come. i loved it and this is my review of the game i recommend all to give it a try if they get chance!

I absolutely loved this game growing up! It was definitely one of my favorites, right next to Super Tecmo Bowl and Super Mario Bros. I was always playing them when I was a kid...heck, I still play them on Vizzed all the time, still.

I'm assuming this is probably your first review, and its not bad at all. Its actually probably the best one I've seen from a newbie in a while. I just have a couple suggestions to make if you plan on doing another one in the future:

- Make sure your reviews are at least 1000 words. If you read some game reviews that other people have done, you'll notice the really good ones are also really long.

- Try and split your topics into the 6 different categories: Graphics, Sound, Depth, Story, Addictiveness, and Difficulty. You got the graphics part pretty much down pat. That was also my favorite part of your review.

- Give each category a rating on a scale of 1-10. I noticed at the end you gave the game an overall rating, but try and give each individual category one, too.

- When you're done with your review, spell check it. I see some minor capitalization and punctuation errors in your review. If you make a habit of spell checking your reviews (and not just your reviews, your posts too) it will make them look more professional.

Like I said, it was a pretty good review for your first time, though. I look forward to any more reviews you may have in the future (if you decide to do another).

Thanks yeah it was the first, I'm not always too great at reviews and things, few tips you mention will be implemented don't worry, I like to give my views and opinions on the things I like and play. It was close to a 1000 words in the end I think, 800 or there about? 

sadly with a game such as marble madness there is only so much you can say but thanks for the reply anyway as all is a great help and of course appreciated, I do play to do more and you can read them and check them out too if you like I will over time do video's and reviews of the games I make a habit of playing.

I'm seriously questioning if you've been stalking me for much of my lifetime. How is it that the SECOND review I read from you.... is also from a game I've played?!  Those are few and far between, you know.  

Again though.... REALLY great job! I'm totally impressed!  You need to keep doing this, because you do it rather well.

(The only thing I have to add is that... once again, you need to remove the I's and dashes.   )

I actually always got really frustrated with this game. My dad adored it however. I wonder if he even remembers it.

well for a start you're probably older than me, i mean im all into retro games and things even though quite a few were before my time really but its what i've grown up with and loved and always will haha.

this was actually my first review thats why its much worse to be honest and still has the I -I lol.

but yeah i've never completed this fully as it is frustrating and takes some time to master, i've played it a few times last couple of days failing same part every time haha.

I played this game twice and I really didn't like it myself but this is a good review keep it up.

well as i said, i have never been spoilt for a start so have made do... so really don't get things just when they come out, i've had a sega my whole life still got one now and other consoles my dad has an atari too..

haha i get to like the 4 or 5 level something like that its a pain even though i don't think there is many levels to the game  and as for the reapers comment yeah it is that kinda game but personally i just loved the whole concept and idea even though it be very basic

This game is pretty interesting, but I honestly don't mind it too much myself.

As for your review quality, it's pretty good for a short one. If it were more detailed for the ratings, you can probably get a really good one going, like Staff quality, even. Pretty good for a first try, if it was. Keep it up!

was my first, i have done another since that was much longer and detailed etc... which was on the game bubble bobble and i still love this game as frustrating as it is haha
