Are you stuck? Have you failed to find the truth, and want to look up something really quick?
Now’s your chance! I can’t stop you from just playing the game along with this, but it’s more fun not to.
I’m not explaining the cut-scenes, unless you have to point something out.

I will be playing the game as I make this series of walkthroughs to be able to provide
screenshots when needed. I’m not explaining all the dialogs, as I’m assuming
you’re at least playing along with this, so you can read them for yourself.
Plus it would be hard to find something here and hard to organize it on my part.

Anyway, let’s get started.

====================================
~ TRIAL ONE: THE FIRST TURNABOUT ~
====================================

Since this is the first case, I’ll explain some things.
Right after the cut-scene, you’ll find
yourself in a court lobby. As you go on with the dialog, you’ll see this ‘court
record’ button:

Press it and this screen will open:

This list will grow as we continue.
You can always click the court record button during conversations and have another look
at evidence. You can click the profile button, which is located in the same
place the court record button was, and it will take you to a similar list. Only
in this list you will find information on those involved in the case. That’s
all you can do there for now.

Moving on.
We are now in court. In the mini cut-scene
you can see the overlook of the room really quick. That’s where you’ll be standing.
Now since this is your first trial, the
Judge will ask you some questions, to see if you are ready. Don’t worry, one
look at that court record can answer everything.

“Please state the name of the defendant in this case”
---> That’s an easy one. Larry Butz.
“This is a murder trial. Tell me, what was the victim’s name?”
--->This can be tricky at eyesight, but look in the court record and you’ll see it’s Cindy Stone.
“What was the cause of death?”
--->Cindy was hit with a blunt object.
Congratulations, you passed the test.

Now the prosecutor, named Winston Payne
(I’ll call him Payne for short), will start presenting evidence.
Apparently, the murder weapon was a statue,
in the form of ‘The thinker’. It will
get added to the list in the court record. You can always check it later.

Now Payne will call his first witness.
Which is… the defendant, Larry Butz?
Before you get to testimony, the victim’s
passport will get added to the court record. She apparently returned from Paris
the day before the murder at 7:30. (I’m assuming PM).
Now you’ll get the options of letting Larry talk or keep him from going further into the subject.
--->Click ‘stop him from answering.’

Another time this option comes up.
--->Click ‘let him tell the truth’

Payne will call another witness after that, a man who witnessed the murder, Frank Sahwit.
~Witness testimony: Witness’s account~

-I was going door-to-door, selling subscriptions when I saw a man fleeing an apartment.
-I thought he must be in a hurry because he left the door half-open behind him.
-Thinking it strange, I looked inside the apartment.
-Then I saw her lying there… A woman… not moving… dead!
-I quailed in fright and found myself unable to go inside.
-I thought to call the police immediately!
-However, the phone in her apartment wasn’t working.
-I went to a nearby park and found a public phone.
-I remember the time exactly: it was 1:00 PM.
-The Man who ran was, without a doubt, the defendant sitting right over there.

Payne will now add the blackout report into the court record.

~cross examination~
A quick one.
Present the autopsy report on the 9th statement.
--->How was it 1PM when she died between 4-5PM?
He’ll give you a new testimony.

~Witness testimony: The time of discovery~
-You see, when I found the body, I heard the time.
-There was a voice saying the time… It was probably coming from the television.
-Oh, but it was three hours off, wasn’t it?
-I guess the victim must have been watching a video of a taped proram!
-That’s why I thought it was 1PM!
-Terribly sorry about the misunderstanding…

Another quick one. Present the blackout report on the second statement.
--->There was a blackout in the apartment. How could it be the television?

And yet another testimony.
~Witness testimony: Hearing the time~
-Actually, I didn’t “hear” the time… I “saw” it!
-There was a table clock in the apartment, wasn’t there!
-Yeah, the murder weapon! The killer used it to hit the victim!
-That must have been what I saw.

And yet another quick one. Present the statue on statement 3.
--->That looks nothing like a table clock.
Payne will explain that it is indeed a clock,
but now you get the option if you had a problem with the testimony or not.

Click on yes.
--->How would HE know that?
And now you get the option of either he
went in the apartment or he knew the victim.
--->Click on ‘went into the apartment’

And you get your first ‘witness breakdown’
of the game. Mr. Sahwit throws his hair at Phoenix. At which Phoenix pulled a poker face.

Now you’ll get the option of either examining the clock batteries, ask the neighbors, or try sounding it.
--->Click on ‘try sounding the clock’
The clock will say “I think it’s 8:25”
But Payne says it’s 11:25. Contradiction?
The clock is 3 hours slow!
Which is the same time as the difference between the time of death and what Mr. Sahwit heard.

Mia will ask you if you have a reason.
--->Click ‘yes’.
--->Present the passport. She recently left the country to Paris.
The time difference between ‘here’
(I’m assuming Washington or somewhere around it) and Paris is 9 hours.
Ergo, the clock was running 9 hours fast, not 3 hours slow!
And Sahwit ‘faints’.
Larry Butz is now proven… Not Guilty.

One final thing. You have to proof that
Cindy DID have feelings for Larry.
--->Present the statue. It’s heavy, but it was so special to her that
she took it all the way to Paris.
With that…
Case closed. A new case will unlock itself,
Turnabout Sisters.

=================================
~CASE TWO: TURNABOUT SISTERS~
=================================

After Phoenix smells blood in the law?office,
you’ll get a new screen that introduces the non- trial part of the?game.
Right away, you’ll get two options:

When you click on ‘examine’, you get this:

You can point the square at something that
peaks your interest and press ‘a’ to find more information on things.
(hint:?always click on stepladders).

However?you can’t do much with it now, Phoenix smells blood.
Click on ‘move’, you’ll get this screen:

Click on wherever you want to go, in this
case, the office. Later you’ll get more options.
Also something to note, sometimes you have
to visit a certain area before another area appears on the list. Some sort of ?chain.

Anyway, click on ‘office’.

So the Chief’s dead, but this is where it?gets more interesting.
You’ll have two small arrows on the bottom of your?screen:

This only happens in big locations.
You can?switch between the two sides of the room/area by clicking the arrows.
Examination time!

Hover your cursor around and click on
everything that looks interesting to you.

Note: whenever you hover over something of
importance, an examine button below will come up.

Here’s what you have to examine:

Examine Mia’s body and ‘The Thinker’ will
be added in the court record.
Also there will be Glass Shards added to
the court record.

Examine the piece of paper that falls out
of her hand:

Apparently, it’s a receipt, with the word
‘Maya’ written on it in blood.

Now you click the arrow pointing to the right.
Examine the telephone:

Move back to the law office’s entrance.

You meet… ‘Maya?’ Fey there.
Two new options will come up.

Click on ‘talk’, and some topics come up.
Always hear what everyone has to say!

After talking, you can click on ‘present’. Kind?of like you did in court.
Present her the Receipt.
--->Her name is written on it.

The police will arrive now and some guy
called ‘Gumshoe’ (I won’t state his first name, it can be offensive)
arrests?Maya because of the Receipt.

You’ll find yourself in the detention?center, visiting Maya.
You get the options of “It’s up to you”,
“of course I will” and “sorry, not a chance”.

Click ‘’it’s up to you.’’

Talk to her for a bit.
Ask her for her cell phone when the option?comes up.
Maya’s Memo will be added to the court?record.

When asking her about spirit mediums, you
get an option of “accept” or “refuse”.

Click on ‘accept.’

Move to the Fey and Co. Law Offices.
You’ll?get options on the detectives’ name.

-Click on ‘Detective Gumshoe’

Talk with him about Mia,
and the Autopsy?Report will be added to the Court Record.

When the option comes up, ask him about
‘Edgeworth’, and click on ‘Of course I do’, when that comes up.

Oh yeah, present him Maya’s Memo.
Click on either Tell him straight or not, it?doesn’t matter.

The Memo will be swapped for her Cell?phone.
You can always listen to the conversation by pressing check when you?click on it.
Move to the Gatewater Hotel

You’ll meet with a lady there.
Examine the screwdriver in the drawer when?she’s off doing something:

She’ll come back and you can now talk with?her,?
even though not that much of interesting information is brought up,
aside?from the fact that there are two glasses on the table.
Move to the Detention Center.

Talk to Maya a bit if you haven’t done so?yet,
so the option ‘‘your mother’s enemy’’ comes up.
She’ll mention the name ‘White’.
Move to the Grossberg Law Offices.

You’ll meet Grossberg. Talk with him.
(hint: keep an eye on that huge painting)
Move back to the Detention Center.

After telling Maya the sad news, you’ll get
the option of ‘Go home’ or ‘Defend Maya’.

Click on the last one.

Then click ‘’I can’t abandon you’’.

You’ll?see a really short flashback of a young Phoenix Wright.
Move back to the Gatewater Hotel.

You’ll see a bellboy. He’ll suddenly
mention one ‘White’ from ‘Bluecorp’. White? Sounds familiar.
Now, once again examine that same?screwdriver.
A wiretap will get added to the Court?Record.
And that wraps up this investigation.

~Part two: Court~

You’ll have a nice look at the prosecutor,?Miles Edgeworth.
He’ll call Detective Gumshoe to the scene,
who explains ‘how the murder took place’
The floor plans will get added in the Court?Record.

~Witness Testimony: Maya Fey’s arrest~

-As soon as the phone call came in, I?rushed to the scene!
-There were two people there already:
-The defendant, Ms. Maya Fey, and the?lawyer, Mr. Phoenix Wright.
-I immediately arrested Ms. Maya Fey!
-Why? We had a witness account describing?her!
-The witness saw Ms. Maya Fey at the very?moment of the murder!

A quick one. Just press the last statement.
He’ll give another testimony.

~Witness testimony: Hard Evidence~

-After securing the suspect, I examined the?scene of the crime with my own eyes.
-I found a memo written on a piece of paper?next to the victim’s body!
-On it, the word “Maya” was written clearly?in blood!
-Lab tests results showed that the blood?was the victim’s!
-Also, there was blood found on the victim’s?finger!
-Before she died, the victim wrote the?killer’s name!
-How you like that? That’s my “hard?evidence”!

Present the Autopsy Report on the 6th?statement.
--->Death was instantaneous.

When the option?comes up, press ‘the day after the murder’

Then say ‘‘the?detective’s a sham’’
--->He gave the wrong autopsy

The autopsy?report will be updated.

Edgeworth will?summon Ms. May to the stand.

~Witness?testimony: Witness’s account~

-It was, like,?9:00 at night. I looked out the window, y’know!
-And then, oooh!?I saw a woman with long hair being attacked!
-The one?attacking her was the mousey girl sitting in the defendant’s chair!
-Then the woman,?like, dodged to one side and ran away!
-But that girl,?she caught up to her and… and… She hit her!
-Then the woman?with the long hair…
-She kinda…?slumped.
-The end. That’s?all I saw. Every little bitsy witsy! *wink*

Click on ‘’Yes, I’m?doing it’’.

Press the 3rd?statement.
--->Was it really her?

Then press ‘I?question the testimony’.
And then press ‘’you’re?lying’’.

She’ll give?another testimony.

~Witness?Testimony: Witness’s account~

-I did see?everything! I did!
-The victim--the woman--dodged?the first attack and ran off to the right.
-Then the girl in?the hippie clothes ran after her…
-And she hit her with?that weapon! I saw it! I did!
-That… that?clock! Um… the kinda statue-y clock? “The thinker,” I think?
-Well? Does the?accuracy of my report not startle you? Tee hee!

*sigh*, yet?another one. Press the 5th statement.
--->That looks?nothing like a clock.

Press “it couldn’t?have rung”.
--->Wasn’t it empty?
It’s missing its?clockwork!

Present the cell?phone.
Say ‘yes’.

Present ‘The?thinker’.
--->Wasn’t it specially made by Larry?

And you get?another ‘witness breakdown’.

Press ‘you had?heard about it’.
Present the?wiretap.
--->Self explanatory.

Present the cell?phone.
--->They literally said so.

Press ‘why the?wiretap?’

Say ‘call the?bellboy as a witness’
and ‘accept the?condition’.

Edgeworth will?now get the Bellboy to the stand.

~Witness?Testimony: Miss May’s Room Service~

-I am the head?bellboy at the fine Gatewater Hotel, in business for four generations!
-I believe I received?a call after 8:00 in the evening from our guest, Miss May.
-She asked for an?ice coffee to be brought to her at 9:00, on the dot, sir.
-I brought it to?her at precisely the requested time, of course.
-And I delivered?the ice coffee to our guest Miss May, herself.

Press the last?statement.

Press the 3rd?statement.

Click ‘protest’.
Click ‘Check-In’.
Press ‘the man?with Miss May’.

Trial will now be?closed, and May Testimony will get added to the court record.

~Part three:?investigation~

You’ll find?yourself in the detention center, visiting Miss May.

Talk to her for a?bit, even though she won’t answer.
Move to the?Gatewater Hotel.

You’ll see the?bellboy there.
Talk with him for?a bit. He’ll mention he could recognize the man if we have a photo.
Move to Grossberg?law offices.

Examine the spot?of the now missing painting.
Say ‘fishermen’?(doesn’t really matter).
Examine the photo’s?on the desk:

Press ‘DL6-?exhibit B’.
A photo of a man?will get added to the court record.
Move back to the?Gatewater hotel.

Present the photo?to the bellboy
--->Was it this man?

Click ‘have him write?it’.

The bellboy’s?affidavit will get added to the court record.
Move to the?detention center.

Present the photo?to Miss May.
Now present the?bellboy’s affidavit.
--->He said it was him.
Click ‘push her?hard’.

The bellboy’s?affidavit will get discarded.
Move to bluecorp.

You’ll meet… yeah…?Redd White.
Talk with him.

Hey wait, look at?the painting on the wall.

Click “I’ve seen?it before” when it comes up.

He punches you!?
That aside, move?to Grossberg Law Offices.

You’ll see a?nervous Grossberg there. Talk with him.
Press ‘That big?painting’ when it comes up.
Then say “he’s?blackmailing you”.

He’ll tell you?about Redd White.
Move to the Fey?and Co Law Offices.

Examine the?bookshelf:

Press “File ‘T-Z”
The W section was?taken!

Now look at the?A-I files.
Press ‘Read it’

And finally look?at files J-S
Press ‘skim’

A news paper?article will get added to the Court Record.
Move back to?bluecorp.

Present the news?paper article.
Press ‘You?blackmailed him’.
Say “You’re wrong”.

You'll find yourself in the detention center, apparently you swapped places with Maya.

Click ‘cheer me?on in court’.

~Part Four:?trial~

Press ‘Objection’.
Edgeworth will apologize?in a way only he can, and summon Mr. White.

~Witness?Testimony: Witness’ account~

-Let’s see, it?was about 9:00, I believe.
-I was quietly?perusifying… er, that’s “reading” to you, some papers by the window.
-Then I heard a?bedlam coming from outside!
-Surprised, I?turned to look at the building across the way.
-It was then I?saw him: a spiky-haired man attacking a woman with long hair!
-Needless to say?that man was none other than you, Mr. Lawyer!
-I called Miss?May over at once. She, too, was flabbergasted of course.
-The victim, she…?she ran away, but you gave chase!

-When you?assaulted the girl, she first ran to the left.
-And then you hit?her, savagely! That is what I saw.
-Next, with the?last of her strength, she ran to the right.
-You chased her,?and delivered the final blow.
-That is what?Miss May saw.
-You see? You hit?her twice!
-Don’t you?remember, Mr. Lawyer?

Present the?Autopsy Report on the 7th statement.
--->She died from a single blow.
He’ll give a new?testimony.

~Witness?Testimony: The Two accounts~

-Umm, well, see--?I looked at the other window when I heard that thing fall.
-Then, the next?moment, I saw Miss Mia run to the left!

Ergo, the clock was running 9 hours fast, not 3 hours slow!
And Sahwit ‘faints’.
Larry Butz is now proven… Not Guilty.

One final thing. You have to proof that
Cindy DID have feelings for Larry.
--->Present the statue. It’s heavy, but it was so special to her that
she took it all the way to Paris.
With that…
Case closed. A new case will unlock itself,
Turnabout Sisters.

--->Death was instantaneous.

When the option?comes up, press ‘the day after the murder’

Then say ‘‘the?detective’s a sham’’
--->He gave the wrong autopsy

--->Was it really her?

Then press ‘I?question the testimony’.
And then press ‘’you’re?lying’’.

She’ll give?another testimony.

~Witness?Testimony: Witness’s account~

-I did see?everything! I did!
-The victim--the woman--dodged?the first attack and ran off to the right.
-Then the girl in?the hippie clothes ran after her…
-And she hit her with?that weapon! I saw it! I did!
-That… that?clock! Um… the kinda statue-y clock? “The thinker,” I think?
-Well? Does the?accuracy of my report not startle you? Tee hee!

*sigh*, yet?another one. Press the 5th statement.
--->That looks?nothing like a clock.

Press “it couldn’t?have rung”.
--->Wasn’t it empty?
It’s missing its?clockwork!

Present the cell?phone.
Say ‘yes’.

Present ‘The?thinker’.
--->Wasn’t it specially made by Larry?

And you get?another ‘witness breakdown’.

Press ‘you had?heard about it’.
Present the?wiretap.
--->Self explanatory.

Present the cell?phone.
--->They literally said so.

--->Was it this man?

Click ‘have him write?it’.

The bellboy’s?affidavit will get added to the court record.
Move to the?detention center.

Present the photo?to Miss May.
Now present the?bellboy’s affidavit.
--->He said it was him.
Click ‘push her?hard’.

His name is Redd…?White?

The bellboy’s?affidavit will get discarded.
Move to bluecorp.

You’ll meet… yeah…?Redd White.
Talk with him.

Hey wait, look at?the painting on the wall.

Click “I’ve seen?it before” when it comes up.

He punches you!?
That aside, move?to Grossberg Law Offices.

You’ll see a?nervous Grossberg there. Talk with him.
Press ‘That big?painting’ when it comes up.
Then say “he’s?blackmailing you”.

He’ll tell you?about Redd White.
Move to the Fey?and Co Law Offices.

Examine the?bookshelf:

Press “File ‘T-Z”
The W section was?taken!

Now look at the?A-I files.
Press ‘Read it’

And finally look?at files J-S
Press ‘skim’

A news paper?article will get added to the Court Record.
Move back to?bluecorp.

Present the news?paper article.
Press ‘You?blackmailed him’.
Say “You’re wrong”.

He’ll call the?Chief Prosecutor and you get arrested for murder!

-Finally there?was a terrible impaction! Then it was all over…

Press the 8th?statement.
He’ll adjust his?testimony.

Present May?testimony on the new statement.
--->She said she ran to the right.
Click ‘both are?right’.

He was standing?here:

He’ll give a new?testimony.

~Witness?Testimony: She ran to the “left”~

-Miss May’s?testimony was correct… as was mine!

-The killer, you,?attacked her… but she dodged.
-Umm… and then…
-She turned, and?ran for the door!
-Then you did her?in with a single blow! Thwap!

Press the first statement.
--->What thing?
Say ‘yeah, very?odd’.
He’ll change his?testimony.

Present the Floor?Plans on that new statement.
--->He couldn’t have seen it, according to the plans.
He’ll give a new?testimony.

~Witness?Testimony: The Wiretapping~

-It was the beginning?of September… the week before the murder.
-I had entered?the Fey & Co. Law Offices.
-Of course, I had?done so to place the wiretap.
-That is when I?saw this glass light stand.

Press every?statement.

You’ll have a?vision of Mia, and faint on the spot.
When you wake up,?you’re in the waiting lobby.
Apparently Maya?is ‘channeling’ Mia, and she gives you some important information.
The receipt will?get updated in the Court Record.

Back in court,?

Present the?receipt on the first statement.
And you get your?long awaited breakdown.

Press ‘object’
Mia will appear?and prevent the trial from ending.
A memo will be?added to the court record.

Well then, I can at least reply to this thread and give my feedbacks, good good. So where to start? Well, I really like how it's made. You also use screenshots, which is a bonus. The length is reasonable, I mean it's quite long.

Now, I have one thing to say about this walkthrough...

"I will make a walkthrough for every case of this game"

Hmm, I don't mean to be mean here but one of the rules for game guides is "no complete walkthrough split into several threads". I know how long this game is, considering I own a copy of "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" and got some troubles to complete my first playthrough but that's besides the point. The walkthrough is good but that little phrase irritates me, quite a bit. The rules are the same for every walkthrough writer, including me. If I made my walkthroughs like this (or any other person)... trust me, it would be a festival of spammy threads in the game guides sections of the website. Please, I'm begging you: don't do that for the next walkthroughs. It's just a warning, ok? Nothing bad, it's not the end of the world ha ha

Otherwise, I'm looking forward to your next walkthroughs. Keep up this good work, man

EDIT: Yeah, yeah I know. I forgot the rules have been updated. So, before anyone tells me what I now am aware of: my bad, folks ^^

Laian : Alright, thanks

Would it be okay if I did the rest of the game in one thread, or edit this one when it's finished?
I'll go ahead and edit it out then. Honestly I expected way worse for my first walkthrough, haha.
Glad you took your time to read it. You can definitely expect more from me soon.

FunnyFurret :
Nah, just write the other cases in this thread and try to remove "Case 1" in the title if possible. It should be ok for the application afterwards. Oh and you're welcome

One of the best written Phoenix Wright walkthroughs I have seen. I like how you show where everything is. Not many written walkthroughs I have seen does that. Good work anyway
