What would you do if you had a billion dollars?

I would give 490 million to vizzed and 500 million to charity and I'll and the 10 million to myself and never work again.

That is quite a lot to vizzed, assuming there is no taxes to hog away all the money, I would probably give about 200 million to vizzed, a very generous donation in my opinion, and then I would probably keep the other 990 million dollars, buy a nice Ferrari, a mansion with a pool 9 kind of the like the one Tony stark has in iron man) and then give about 300 million to my family members so that they can have nice things and pay off their expenses as well. Whatever I have remaining I would put into my savings just in case.

I would give around 2 million to vizzed. (which is still a whole freakin lot)
 
 I would give 498 million to charity.
 
 Then I would give at least 1 million to all the people who are nice or I see a lot in my family.
 
 Then finally I would buy a mansion and get a butler named Alfred.

Reporter juuldude here, telling what he would do with a billion dollars! I would give 10 million to Vizzed, 400 to charity, 100 to my family and the rest of the money I would use to get a better microphone for reporting buy food and games

I would buy a huge share in the New York Mets, maybe 300 million worth. I would also buy a ton of shares of big corporations. I would donate a ton to Markiplier charities, get an awesome house, and retire.

I would invest in game trading.  I'd buy low during Steam sales, and trade high off-sales.  I'd try to buy games that might be removed from the Steam store, and many copies of them.  Shrek Forever After is one example.  A guy was trading what might have been the only copy for offers.  One guy's opening offer was 80 TF2 keys (about $160!!!).  I'm a thrifty sort of guy, so I'd save up, but I'd also give a ton to my church and charities and save some for moments when I have the chance to give to random strangers.

This is an interesting question.... If I had that much money I would probably...

First of all, I would donate to the wounded warrior project. Not sure how much I would donate, But I would.
Next I would donate to vizzed. Again, not sure how much but it would be a very large sum.
Next I would buy my parents a fairly decent house. Not a mansion or anything, just a simple house.
After that I would buy a farm, and move there after a lot of years. I would do a lot of work and probably eventually hurt my back in some sort of freak accident.
I would give maybe $10,000 to each and every friend I have, But only that much. They should still have to work.
I wouldn't retire because I haven't even started to work yet. That's an obvious duh. If I had retired already, life would be a bit boring.

I would still do my own cleaning, cooking, and everything like that aside from take-out food. Honestly, I would like it more if my friends have it. The look on their faces and the thought of giving a gift to them makes me more happy than any amount of money ever would.

I would also give my sister enough funds to start her business, and I would do the same with my brother.
I would also help fund the company I would work for in the future
And I might buy a hamtaro plushie here and there

Honestly, I would only give about one million of that to Vizzed. I would give money away to charities, use some to go to Harvard, go on video game shopping sprees, and the rest is for my life in general.

Well, I'd use the money to help myself and my family in general. I wouldn't use it all at once, in fact I could even put in somewhere where it'll grow, maybe like a bank or something. I would give some to Vizzed and Charities, but not much, not because I don't want to, but my family and I could use some help, giving some to some family members that need a little push, and maybe fix up or improve my own living conditions.
I could even buy some things just for me, like a better computer or a microphone and a better webcam.

I would invest it and live off the interest/gains.

And then I would use the money to do whatever I wanted. I'd probably support some charities and travel the world and what not.

geeogree : You got it mate. That's basically what i would do with a Billion dollars. Learn to invest it and live off the gains and stuff.

Later, i use to money to anything basically: I'd donate money to charities, some would go to Vizzed, i'd help my family (Since they would probably live with me, of course), among lots of other personal stuff. I'd do what i want, controlling the investiments.

I would put it in the back, buy me some nice things, maybe a few hundred video games,can't then just save the rest.

i would spend a billion dollars on billion dollars. Then spend those billion dollars on countless video games. Then on Charity.

Billion dollars hmm. I give my parents some. My brother some of the money and my granparents. I would then give some money charities (don't know which one to give to yet). Then I would invest it and live peacefully by myself. Geeogree got it perfectly.

What would I do with a billion dollars? Well, I'd definitely take my Mom out and buy her anything she wants. Just spoil her like crazy. I'd move somewhere near the river. I don't need some huge mansion, just a big house with room for my collections. I would donate to a bunch of local charities. All of my relatives that I'm close with, I'd give them each a large amount to help them out. I'd probably go crazy and really build my action figure collection's and buy tons of video games and comics.  Backstage passes would be purchased for every concert I go to and I would like to build a small greenhouse in the back yard. 

A whole billion... Well...

1. Give lots of it to my family members. 1 million to each grandparent (including married grandparents, so 2 million for each grandfamily), 1 million to each aunt/uncle, 4 million to split equally among cousins.
2. Have my parents adopt a child. I don't want to be youngest anymore.
3. Buy lots of big stuff. New house with lots of land, new cars, lots of nice new furniture and stuff, etc.
4. Give it to people I like. My friends and others.
5. Buy lots of small stuff. New computer (since this one sucks), and since I have a couple hundred million... I could buy a top-of-the-line very fancy computer. Then I could buy lots of games and a Wii U (finally).
6. Donate 1 million to Vizzed.
7. Donate a lot towards schools and libraries in my area.
8. Donate all of the rest except for 50 million to various charities.
9. With my remaining 50 million, I can save for later, smaller donations (e.g. money towards homeless people, donations to websites I like, etc.).

Well that's a hard amount to really plan for but here's a few things I would do.

1. Pay off Debts. (Credit Cards, loans, etc)
2. Either fix my current house to have all the things I've always wanted, or purchase a new one.
3. Purchase a vacation spot in a town like San Diego, as well as one in the mountains somewhere.
4. Give money to family/friends that need it, and have always been there for me when I was at my lowest.

5. Invest most of it to ensure that my kids won't have to worry about anything.
6. Give to charities I believe in.
7. Purchase a boat (I love fishing)
8. Travel to places I haven't had the chance to go yet. Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Japan to name a few.

9. Attempt to trek to the top of Everest, just for the experience of doing so.
