Hello everyone, Laian here with another walkthrough. I've been quite busy this month that this walkthrough will be kind of short. Yes, it's another short game, for a change. And we're going to play, well I'm going to play for you so that means we go on a brand new adventure, this time with our friend Donald Duck. The last adventure with our favorite duck was Quackshot, remember? Well, back to the Sega Master System era (and Sega Game Gear), Donald Duck had another job. And all is explained during the cutscene when you start the game. The nephews have been kidnapped by three crows and Magica De Spell stole the precious lucky dime of Uncle Scrooge. Time to save Huey, Dewey and Louie and get that precious back to its owner as well (I wanted to make a Lord of the Rings reference, it's done ^^ ). Well, no time to explain, time to jump (back for me... yes, it's a game of my childhood, a game I haven't completed once... long story ) into it, folks.

ACT 1: FREEING THE NEPHEWS

The first part of the game is the liberation of the nephews. There's no order so you are free to go anywhere you want for starters. I'm going to explain all the levels, it seems legit. And you know what? Since we can choose the level we want, let's start with... North America (or Canada?). Well, the level at the top of the screen.

CANADA

Right at the beginning, an enemy will greet you. It's a habit in this game, most of the time, when you start the level, an enemy automatically greets you. In this situation, it's... a moving mushroom. Well, it's a Disney game, if you think you're going to kill zombies, you're wrong folks. Kill that mushroom, then next one, carry on and hit the spider twice to get rid of it. The first time, it swings so you must prepare yourself for the second and decisive hit. A bit further, there's a hive with... no, not the bees, aaaaaaah! cough cough sorry I had to do that (or not, anyhow). Kill the bee, beware of the hive and carry on. You can skip the next enemy if you want, just stay on the tree and move on. Agh, another bee! That one is smarter than the last bee you fought. If you use your hammer to hit it, the bee will dodge it and charge at you. Get ready to strike once more, she won't dodge the second time. Kill the next enemies (woo, those woods are dangerous), until you reach the gap. There are bees during this bit. The first jump is easy, the second one though... you need to stand on the rope, press the jump button to get enough height and reach the platform to your right. Once you are on the branch, jump to the next platform and carry on. Use the moles and the leaves to reach the next platforms, beware of the beavers in the next part, they throw some saplings out from their holes in three directions and use the creepers (those don't blow up when you get close to them, fear not) to make that gap. Kill the last enemies and get ready to face the boss: a grizzly bear with a hive on his head and a bee. The bee shouldn't be a problem during this fight. When you start, let the bear jump, go underneath him then jump on his head. Mad at you, he's going to charge at you: avoid him and repeat this method six times and you will defeat him. Now, go free Louie and proceed to the next level.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Piranhas right at the beginning of the level. Get used to it, there's automatically one enemy at the beginning of any level you'll explore. Jump on the turtle to cross the pool (or use the branch, it's safer), avoid the rocks dropped by the birds and go down the waterfall, avoiding all the piranhas. Underwater part. You can't attack anything so use the jump button to swim, avoid all the obstacles and go up at the end of the line. Skip the first turtle, however you must step on the second turtle and get ready to hit the enemies on your way to the boss. Ladies and gentlemen, here is the boss: a lion. Don't ask me why there's a lion here, maybe he escaped from the nearest zoo, I don't know. Anyhow, in order to beat this boss, the method is practically the same as the bear. The lion will dash, trying to tackle you. Avoid him and when he stops, jump on his head. If you keep that method, you'll beat him easily after seven or eight hits on his head. Go free Dewey and explore another level.

SOUTH AMERICA

My favorite level. The music is catchy and the stage is interesting. At the beginning of the level, an enemy will greet you (as always). Kill him and carry on. There are two types of this enemy: the regular one who doesn't throw his weapon at you and the advanced one who throws the weapon at you. Jump over the gaps, kill some enemies and reach the slope. Ok, it doesn't look like a slope but I suggest you to be ready for a great descent. The first part is slow, it's just the cruise, the walk of life. Just leap over the rocks and kill the birds. And here we go for the other part of the slope. A bit faster this time. No birds, however the rocks are not gone. Leap over the rocks and enter the temple. See those four tiles? They go up and down and you must destroy them with your hammer. One hit for each tile and you shall pass. Avoid the next enemies, cross the pit of spikes and moving blocks (you have to avoid some of them in this part of the level). Kill the next enemies, avoid the falling arrows and destroy the tiles with your hammer. Kill the last enemies of the temple, leave the temple and let's go for another slide. It's the same pattern, don't worry. At the end of the slide, you're going to face the boss: two Mayan statues. You must beat both of them to free Huey. How? Well, there's no secrets. You can use the hammer but you can also use the frisbee. The frisbee helps a lot during this fight. All you need to do is stand beneath a statue, press "up" button and throw your frisbee at the statue. With the hammer, it's a bit harder. In any case, don't even bother to hit the head with a simple jump. Two hits with the hammer for each statues and the spirit will reveal his true form (1). Smash his head with your hammer and you'll be victorious.

ACT 2: GIMME BACK THESE LUCKY DIMES, STUPID CROWS!

The nephews are safe, time to get these presents offered by Uncle Scrooge to their respective owners. Watch out, stupid crows! Donald Duck is coming at you and he is not really happy!

EGYPT

I have bad and good memories of this stage to be honest. I like the music of this stage (there's another one later in the game that I enjoyed) but the main part of this level is a labyrinth. You'll see why in just a few minutes. For now, kill the scorpions, the bats (yes... bats, again don't ask me why bats are in Egypt, I have no freaking ideas) and avoid the quicksands. If you're stuck in a quicksand, press the jump button repeatly to get out of here. After the desert, enter the pyramid. Obviously, Egyptian themed levels means pyramid! And here is the fun part. In this pyramid, you'll find at some points some doors. Some of them leads to goodies, the others to empty rooms with a trap. You are free to explore the rooms you want but I'm going to tell you in this walkthrough the ones you should open by pressing the "up" button and the ones you must avoid like the plague. Avoid the traps, then the falling blocks, feel free to open the door to get some nice stuff in the chests (beware of the mimics), avoid the falling blocks once more and open the next door. Make your progress through the quicksands, the bats, the pots full of ninja scorpions and open the next door. Let's play Tetris now! Well, there's only one way out: you must survive the fall of the square blocks (2) and go up. This is my least favorite part of this stage. You need to stay focused on these blocks and move constantly to avoid a terrible death.

The next part of the level starts with a scorpion to kill and a locked door (probably the boss room). You need to find a key. Avoid the mummies and find a series of doors to the far left. The first door you'll see contains the key, kept by snakes and scorpions coming from the pots. Make your way through all of that and grab the key. You'll be teleported outside the room, above the sarcophagus. There's also another key behind the second door from the left. You can explore the other rooms if you choose so in order to get some goodies such as gems and lives. I suggest you to grab a frisbee before entering the boss room, you'll see why. Now, go open the door and face the boss. You can see that this moron is flying in the air constantly from left to right and will summon cowardly a snake from time to time. Ah, don't forget the notes played with his flute. There are a few methods to beat this boss. First option with the frisbee: anticipate his movements and throw a frisbee in the air to hit him. Second option with the hammer: you must use the snake coming from the jar to your advantage for this method. When it comes out, step on his head, then let it raise its head a bit and smash the crow. The last option is a bit tricky to do but it's the fastest, the funniest and the cheapest method: again, you need the snake for this one. Same thing like the hammer trick, jump after the snake is high enough to step on the crow's head and smash his head a few times. DO NOT move when you're jumping on his head. After a few hits, the crow will be defeated and you'll get one of the nephews' lucky dime.

HAWAII

Well, kill the first enemy, avoid the flames, kill the statue and avoid the fireballs thrown by the volcano. Enter the next area, go all the way down, avoiding the lava and the fireballs coming from the stone faces, and open the next door. Kill all the enemies here, notice the locked door, go east, avoid the fireballs and grab the key (3). Now, unlock the door, go up and open another door. This part... I don't like that part, it's quite obnoxious. Let me explain it to you folks: it's exactly where you can lose your weapon if you screw up (like me). See these little blocks floating above a giant pool of lava? They make you slide. Now, what could make this part more obnoxious? I don't know, maybe the acid falling off from the ceiling, right above almost all the blocks. Thanks goodness, the blocks respawn after a few seconds. Take a deep breath and make that series of platforms carefully. Now, open the next door, go down and open the door to the left. The other door leads to another room like this one and, let's face it, we don't want to do that once again. Now, cross these bridges, killing the enemies on your way, and face the boss. This crow is not that hard and he wears a traditional dress. Just wait until he throws the three bombs at you then tries to hit you with a flying attack and jump on its head. After a few hits, the crow will die and you'll get the lucky dime it stole.

SOUTH POLE

This level is quite challenging, especially the first part. You have to make your way through all these icemen and creatures coming from the pits while struggling the violent blizzards. Beware of these blizzards. Sometimes it blows to the left, the other times it blows to the right. Oh and it completely random, which means it could be the same direction twice, maybe three times in a row. At the end of the line, go in the ice building. Kill the icemen, don't even bother to destroy the ice wall to the right, the snowman will always recreate it so go up and kill its brother instead. There's more icemen up here after the evil snowman. Go up once more, kill the icemen you'll encounter during the ascent and carry on. More blizzard and icemen in this part. Go down, kill the icemen and the snowman and go back outside. This time, no blizzard. Just kill the last icemen and prepare yourself for the boss fight. I don't have to tell you how to beat this crow. Just aim for his head. You can hit it after he finished his flying attack or when he makes an ice block. You can also destroy this block and it's highly recommended. There's a tricky tip if you want to beat him easily. When he is about to make a ice block, jump on the block then on his head (or the opposite, it works) and stay away from him. If you are not so close to him, he should go down and create another block. Otherwise, you have to avoid his flying attack and jump on his head. When he remakes a block, repeat the same method until he dies. After a few hits on his head, this crow will be defeated and lucky dime will yours.

ACT 3: THE REAL LUCKY DIME

Now that you know where Magica De Spell is and what she's up to do with the real lucky dime, let's go find her and reclaim that precious before it's too late. I like this stage and the music is really catchy. Yes, you figured it out: it's my second favorite song of this game. Welcome to Magica De Spell's castle, located nearby Mount Vesuvius, in Italia. Cross the bridge, enter the castle, avoid the haunted forks and move on. Go up, then to the right, cross the pits of spikes, avoid all the deadly portraits of Magica De Spell and the skeletons and go up with the elevator. Go up, then to the right, use the "deadly" moving platforms to go down (you'll see why they are deadly, sooner or later), cross the corridor of mirrors and ninja phantoms and go down. Avoid the spears and go down. You can go to the left but the way down is a shortcut. Avoid the phantoms and go east. Don't go down, the room you will enter loop back to the last room. Now avoid the last obstacles and get ready for the last battle. You can hit Magica De Spell during this fight. So how to beat her? Well, you dodge the lightning bolts and the bombs and you bounce on that crystal ball a few times. That's it, end of the story, you grab the legendary lucky dime. Enjoy the final and funny cutscene. Congratulations, you completed "The lucky dime caper starring Donald Duck".

Well, that was a short walkthrough, I must confess. Anyhow, hopefully you enjoyed this short adventure. I see you in the next walkthrough. Bye and take care, folks
