I actually like the new layout. It's easier to watch videos, and you can see people's favorites without going back.

Though I think Youtube should let users switch to the old layout if they don't like it.

They actually made that layout with the intention of users viewing the person's videos on their channel. If you view the person's videos on their channel, it doesn't count as a view. You need to view the video on the actual URL for it to count as a view.

So, YouTube made this layout because their partners felt threatened that people without YouTube's support had so many viewers.

I really don't have a problem with the new layout, I think it's alright. The only thing that bugs me is that it kind of lags when I watch a video on a channel page.

I preferred being able to click on a vid and go to the video page so I can see the related videos (which usually has the next video in an LP series as the first two) and keep it flowing instead of having to scroll on the channel to find it.

Personally, I preferred the ones from before to these.

I've noticed that they mess with view counts a lot. I'll be looking at videos and see people post comments about how many views it had then when I look it appears a lot less. As rasen said I'm sure they alter stuff around a lot for several reasons. Just like how they will remove new videos for copyright infridgement while keeping the more popular ones live. They are hypocrites...
