The only thing I can think of off the top of my head that would make Mario even seem communist-like would be his red hat. For whatever reason. I find it silly to believe that someone could view an ITALIAN plumber jumping over pipes (part of plumbing) squishing walking mushrooms and growing bigger by eating certain ones as a communist theme. That's just portion of the game. If you ask me, it almost sounds like an American high on shrooms created the game.

Look, if you're going to start bagging a game that has been around for this long, do it in 1980, when it was first released. I see only a few minor things of mario's appearance that might make it rude (Red hat, moustache???), but this is taking it too far.

There are communists everywhere, but come on.. Even if it was made by a communist, it's a freaking awesome game franchise, so the creator's cultural background doesn't matter as long as the content is of quality.
