Windows 7 has been the optimal operating system for me, but next to that would be Windows XP. They were both really great OSs and were very good for the tasks they were designed to do.

I like the polish and overall maneuverability Windows 7 had over XP though.

For my computer, I am going to go with Windows 7 because I have had this for the longest and it seems to work just fine for me. I do have Vista and a few others, but I prefer this one the most.

Well it is a toss up between Windows 7 and Linux (Elementary OS). The Linux OS I am using has tons more features and I have a lot more control over my computer. Windows 7 is better for gaming and in some ways more powerful. However Linux is working faster for me and I am loving it. I'm leaning more towards that right now.

I would have to agree with saying windows 7 as well, I have had it for the longest amount of time and it also runs quite smoothly for me as well. I have used windows XP as well and I must say that it was also pretty good, but I just have a personal preference for Windows 7. I am currently using a windows 7 desktop right now as a matter of fact. They are both really great for what they were designed to do, like alex said.

Windows 8 was just flat out terrible. It was designed for touch screen computers, but I just a regular old laptop screen on my one. Then, Windows 8.1 came out, and I've got to say, is actually really good. This is because you can make it basically just like Windows 7, the only difference being the Windows key taking you to the main menu instead of the start menu. I also need to point out that nobody likes their Xbox 360 copy of an OS . I know they're both made by Microsoft, but it still sucks. Nobody used anything but the Desktop feature on there. They had so much that no one used. It was pointless .

I think I'll go with Windows 7. It's pretty easy to use, and it reminds me of Windows XP, but with a more modern look. I think my second choice would be Windows XP. That's just the classic OS. And who doesn't love the Bliss wallpaper?

My favorite OS has changed from Windows XP to Windows 7 because like mario102 said, it reminds me of Windows XP, but it's more modern and there's a lot more to do on Windows 7.

Then start typing what you want.
