Hmm, this took my interest. I'm in with a snivy, I want to start one of the new ones (and if I read everything well, nobody uses one yet, poor snivy!) and my trainer name will be Racket.

It is 1:14 in the morning, as we find a teen awake in a hotel room, unable to sleep. "Stupid uncomfortable beds," he thought to himself. Feeling bored, he decides to browse the Internet on his iPad, then remembers to log onto Vizzed for the day. Upon logging on, a notification appears reading, "Welcome, AwesomeNine. (Let's just make that my Trainer Name for the sake of simplicity.) You have earned 1.3 CP and 125 Viz for logging in today."

Above the notification, he notices an announcement by David reading, "2014 Pokemon Osmium Grand Championship = Earn 100,000 Viz" Curious, the tired teen quickly read through the post wondering what it was. Was it a ROM hack that he had never heard of, or a fan made game? No, it was something completely different: a deep and exciting role-playing game, with a massive prize for the winner.

After going through the rules, he had already made his decision. As quietly as possible, he threw on a set of clothes, his sweater and coat, and grabbed a Pokéball containing his Level 5 Oshawatt given to him by his best friend. He grabbed a notepad and a pen, and wrote, "I'm going on a big adventure. I'll be back in a few months. -AwesomeNine"

Before leaving, he made sure to grab a spare room key, in case he had to return to the hotel; and his wallet, with his ID, bank card, some spare cash, and arcade cards. After making sure he had everything, he snuck out of the room, and started to run to Pollomium village. Along his way, a police officer found him, and asked why he was out past curfew. Upon showing his ID, the cop said, "Eh, you're close enough to 16 years old, I guess you're okay. Just don't cause any trouble." The man walked away without another word.

AwesomeNine walked for about a mile before deciding he needed to set up camp for the night, so he headed up to the nearest 24-hour store that had a tent and some food that could last a few days, as well as a mattress. It wasn't great gear, but it was good enough for its price. He set up the tent inside a forest nearby, laid the mattress inside, and slept the night away. It was cold outside, but he made it through the night.

The next morning, AwesomeNine continued on his journey. It would be long and difficult, but it would also be an amazing experience that many others would take part in. Will the runaway teen make it through the region and become the new Pokémon Champion? Stay tuned and find out!

I guess Ill choose staryu... but staryu evolved by water stone in pokemon blue, but evolved by level in pokemon red. Also, I need to know details and info on staryu or else I might change my mind.

I'll join. I don't know how in-depth this is intended to go, but I'll be Shadow, the 16 year-old in training to be an Aura Guardian with my Riolu (I assume Lucario wouldn't be allowed even though that would fit better).

Since we have had so many people join, we might end up starting the game a bit early. As of now, the game will start om the morning of Tuesday, April 1st. On Monday, March 31st, I will post the rules and instructions page sometime during the day.
