This is a hard one. My least favourite would have to be final fantasy. The games are bland and are uninspired boring and not fun to play. what is your least favourite gaming franchise

Pokémon strikes me as completely unintriguing and really lacking in depth.  It's the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.... exactly.  Graphics change, the interface might change a bit but is there really character development?  Is there a story  line beyond catching them all and training and battling?

Give me something.  Heck, Final Fantasy has characters and story lines and motivation behind why people do what they do.  Sports games have depth in rosters, play-offs, sanctions, and more depending on the game.  First person shooters have team play online and the battlefield is always dynamic with new and different people running amok out there.

Pokemon?  Same.  Just change a few colors and names and give us all your money.  I can't get behind it.

And changes in colors and names!? THERE ARE STATS. think before you post something like this. because what you just said is ridicoulos.Yeah characters in pokemon also have storylines and motivation. You have not completed a pokemon game if you say something this stupid.

imamonster : Let me get this straight.  You ask for an opinion and then you attack me when I give it to you.  *sigh*  Here's something to think about.  Your whole life will be filled with people who disagree with you.  You may not like their thoughts or opinions but that gives you zero right to attack them and challenge them, especially when you ask for what they think.

I can talk about the Final Fantasy series you so strongly dislike and go on and on about it's beautiful music, story telling, development, and style.  Final Fantasy also spans a longer time then Pokemon and you can enjoy the evolution of video game technology.

Pokemon makes you capture and train creatures until they faint from exhaustion.  That's like training dogs to fight each other.

Tell me any of the games are different from this description:
The mechanics are fine what annoys me is that the story is exactly the same every time. Young doe eyed boy/girl and rival goes and gets a level 5 pokemon from a proffessor. Battles the pokemon league gyms and prevents chaos caused by team ........ with random intervils your rival will appear just to fight you. .With various side events littering the path along the way.

That's from another website.  Anything past Pokemon Red.... what's different?

The story lines, with Team Rocket and other evil people, don't really matter.  It's catching 200 odd Pokemon and giving money to the company for the next game.

No comment on the thread thus far.. BUT. I can say my least favorite game serious would be ......sonic........that lil blue hedge hog has been run in my nerves to the brink for the past 18 years.....(not for the cool characters.. But for the plot ...run in a straight line ..soooo bad)

I noticed as much. Though always keep in mind. Kindness to another gamer is close to godliness. ... or something like that. By the way I am playing a zoids game that is very similar to the battle system and plot of Pokémon. Maybe you should give it a try. You just might like it.

imamonster : I kept an open mind and I went back and played Pokemon.  You're right.  It is incredible and completely awesome.  I'm really loving the game and I'm running out over the weekend to buy Pokemon Red, Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition, Pokemon Gold AND Silver, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, Pokemon Crystal, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Pokemon Emerald, Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon Black & White (both 1 and 2), and Pokemon X and Y.  I can't wait to play them and it's going to be fun.  The multiple sidequests make it that much better.

I'm going to catch 'em all!

Mine would have to be the Bubsy series. I mean, do I really have to explain?

Eh, I am probably going to have to go with either Call of Duty, or literally any sports game franchise. Call of Duty is extremely lackluster, and is just filled with the same rapid gameplay in each successive release. The only time I actually enjoyed the series was with World at War, or the games released prior to Modern Warfare. The multiplayer is also filled with little kids telling me what they did with my mom last night, so it's not entirely pleasant. Sports games are literally the same thing with a few tweaks to graphics and gameplay improvement. They have some changes to the rosters, but that's about it. I could literally go play one of the games from 2002 and it will be almost the same experience as a 2014 release title. So yeah, Call of Duty, and any sports game franchises are my least favorite gaming franchises.

I have many games i don't like but actual franchises? Not to many.

I guess I never really liked Call of Duty much which isn't because I'm not an fps fan because I love Counter Strike but I just hate Call of Duty.

And if i count franchises I've seen other people playing but not played myself I would say Bubsy. (Bubsy 3d in particular...I mean look at it).

Also while I don't dislike it and actually like it a bit I've always had a hard time getting into to the Zelda franchise.
