Its not just about FF, its about them downgrading the graphics on a popular game.
Just because the 360 cant handle it doesnt mean they should downgrade the game for both systems.
The PS3 is making a big move to reclaim the market and Microsoft is worrying.
No doubt Square-Enix would have made the game to look the best it could per console (as the Japanese love their PS3) if MS hadnt had a big cry (my hypothosis anyway, dont doubt its far from truth).

And I'm going to disagree on Davids thread as the PS3 does have both superior graphics and a better chipset then the 360.
Gamespot are biased and say whatever the money tells them to.
The multi platform games on 360 that look better then the PS3 version just means they did downgrade the graphics for the PS3.

I agree that microsoft does do that stuff (the gta 4 expansions cost them billions of dollars) and yes i own a 360 so its not like i just hate xbox. i got a ps3 slime yesterday and resistance fall of man 1 today. But about you saying the ps3 is superior, well that may be true but from what i have heard PS3 is hard as hell to program for and that's why sometimes there's a better looking game on 360 (i said sometimes not all the time or usually but sometimes) and i have seen screenshot comparisons of dfferent games on different sites that compare the systems and sometimes the ps3 is better and sometimes the 360 is. also the 360 has more dlc usually because psn doesn't charge a monthly fee (they are adding paid service but everything that is already free will stay free) they charge the developers so much per gig per download. also before someone jumps in with the rrod and E74 error argument of the 360 is inferior why don't you look up the yellow light of death that the ps3 has?

Yellow Light of Death affects 0.5% of PS3's, whereas RRoD affected 50% of all 360s.

You all should check this out http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/28252#comment_body it shows the difference in graphics quality between the two and i say the ps3 looks better. also note the diehard ps3 haters/360 lovers posting how the ps3 fanboys are making it up and SE purposely made the 360 version look worse because they work for sony, and one guy trying to say the 360 has a higher graphics capability than the ps3 which i know to be false(i am not a fanboy of either i buy games based on what they run better on and i know the tech specs and while the ps3 has better graphics it is harder to program for). it really amazes me people can be in such deep anger and denial over something like this. P.S. yes the metal572 in the comments is me.

Sony should have definitely stepped in on this one, it was the perfect oppurtunity to set them self apart from XBOX. I don't see why they did this, people made there own decision on what system to buy so if they chose the wrong one then they should suffer the consequences, besides FF was never done on XBOX before so why now, and why change a good thing, just doesn't make any damn sense.
