Pokemon X is a game unlike any other. It takes the usual Pokemon game and then beefs it up with all new Pokemon, an all new region, and the game is in full 3D.

First, let’s talk about the graphics of the game which are unbelievable. When the first pictures of Pokemon X and Y were released many months ago, there was a collective gasp from the Pokemon world because graphics like these have never been seen before in a handheld Pokemon game. Before the 3DS was released, such graphics have only been seen in games such as Pokemon XD.

The graphics seen in the 6th Generation of Pokemon were a huge step up from the graphics that were used for recent games such as Black 2 and an even bigger step up from previous games from the Game Boy era. There is just so much detail put into every building, character, and Pokemon that it’s hard to believe we lived with anything else. I have to give a perfect 10 out of 10 for graphics.

When it comes to the sounds of the game, I will admit that I am not much of a fan. I loved some of the older music, and some of the music from generation 5, but I feel that aside from a few tracks, there isn’t much in the sense of new. But that’s okay because Pokemon music gets the job done of entertaining your ears while you battle Pokemon, and with more than 200 total tracks in the Pokemon X and Y soundtrack, there is now shortage of awesome. For sound, I am going to give a 9 out of 10.

The game is very, very addicting. It’s a whole new region with new characters and new Pokemon, there are a ton of new graphics, and let’s not forget that the concept of Mega Evolution has been introduced to us. All these new features work together in harmony to make sure that once we turn the game on, it is almost impossible to turn it back off. This is the kind of game that you do not want to put down and once you beat the game to the fullest, you are going to start a brand new game and do everything all over again. For addictiveness, I give Pokemon X a perfect 10 out of 10.

When it comes to the story, the foundation is just about the same, you get a Pokemon, beat the gym leaders, elite 4, and champion, complete the PokeDex, and take care of the evil team. That is the story that we all grew up with and we are fine with how it plays out, but Pokemon X took the story of the game to a whole new level by adding the story of Mega Evolution and now there is so much more to the game than what we are normally accustomed to. For the story, I am also going to give it a perfect 10 out of 10.

As for the depth, it’s about the same as with the story aspect, the creation of Mega Evolution adds a whole new level of enjoyment to the game and makes sure that you are satisfied from the moment you turn on the game for the first time until the moment you beat the champion. As for the depth, it’s a 10 out of 10.

Lastly, the difficulty. The game is easy if you know what you are doing. Don’t try to rush the game and take your time to train your Pokemon or you will keep losing and you won’t get as far as somebody who takes their time. For difficulty, I give it a 6 out of 10.

Overal, the game is a huge step up from what we saw with the DS games and it deserves a 9.7.
