id say mine is Console RPGS. IE Final Fantasy over Elders Scrolls or Knights of the Old Republic

My ideal game type is hard to explain.... I love games like Starcraft/Warcraft which are resource management + unti/war management, combined with something like Civilization which is turn based and has alliances/ diplomacy and then add in an element of resource management that goes beyond either game....

so far I haven't found a game that quite reaches my expectation.... but that would describe it about as well as I can.

RPGs, definitely. Several of my favourite games are RPGs, without RPGs, we would lose an important part of gaming history and substance.

I like shooter games the most because of modern warfare 2.

RPGs
Why?You get to take your time on your turn and your partner isn't yelling at you saying "Hurry up!"

I like RPG games, but I didn't find it fun like adventure or action(didn't meant to anger anybody), I like Platformer the most because it is totally insane(depends on the game), and I saw levels that I never imagine.

I suppose I would go for Adventure. RPGs are good, but the traditional role-playing video game just gets repetitive and boring after a while. Games like the Elder Scrolls series, however, are cool because it's like an adventure game with RPG elements. That's the goose that laid the golden egg IMO, but Adventure gets the tie-breaker because it was TES's adventure elements and not its RPG system that appeals to me. In particular I kind of like the interactive fiction genre because I'm kind of a story person, but any Adventure sub-genre can do something simple like that.

I also have kind of a soft spot for first-person shooters, but I'm not very good at them ; Oh well.

I like strategy games the most, because they make you use your mind the most...I also like RPGs

RPG last longer than the others... maybe not sports but when you beat them your done with it but while you are playing them you cannot seem to pull yourself away you start playing on a Tuesday and end up finishing about a month later on a Saturday..... San Andreas ....

I'd have to say my favorite kind of games are shooter games thanks to Resistance and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for the PlayStation 3. Two of the best games I've ever played. And I love the classic side-scrolling shooters and up and down. I like them because of the power ups, I love seeing the different kind of weapons you get and how strong they are also what they look like. For Example (Contra) One of my favorite games of all time. Love the game play and the action, but most of all I love the weapons specially the spreader or whatever you want to call it. When you shoot it it spreads out up and down and it's a reddish or orange color not to sure which color really. Then I love the boss fights. One thing I don't like though is the difficulty of those games one hit and you are a goner for sure makes for a very challenging game.

Let's see... To say the least, my favorite genre of games are RPGs, or more specifically, Action-RPGS. For example, I loved the old Seiken Denestu games for the SNES, the FF and Dragon Quest series, and others which I can't pull up at the moment. Though, I kinda like any fair game with a good RPG or upgrade system in place. Truth be told, I am kinda more lenient with RPGs than the rest of the genres.

i play all games but not sports or shooter to me guns are bad and i just go outside to play sports

My favorite type of games are the Rpg's, especially Pokemon, Legend Of Zelda, and Final Fantasy. The games where you lvl. up you characters are kind of boring, but at the end, when you see how powerful they are, you'll be happy.

My 2nd type would be the First Person Shooter games because they are fun to play with. Just flanking other people, then teabagging them are the best part.

I'm not sure what my favorite game genre is. RPGs are definitally high on the list.

I loved some puzzel, like the Myst siries.

And SSB were all great.

i love sports games like basketball and football games i also like shooting games

I'd have to say platform games are the best, as a general rule. Though I do like adventure games too. Platformers seem to be on the decline though, sadly...

Seems like it. With the powerful grafics now, it seems harder to find original ways use them for for platformers. Though there still are some, like that Mario Bros. Wii Ware, I hear it's good.

I really like Role Playing Games the most, like the Legend of Zelda, because they're cool.
