What's the hardest video game you've ever complete? Sometimes, we play difficult games, and since I have an entire NES collection, I've been through a lot of them, like Simon's Quest. The hardest game I've completed is Ninja Gaiden II, and I could never beat the sequel to that game. The whole trilogy is difficult. Ninja Gaiden I was pretty easy in fact, and Ninja Gaiden II, a little difficult. What's the hardest game you've beat?

Super Mario Bros for Wii. World 9 is brutal and the entire game is challenging and time intensive. It's fun and not annoying, so I love that. No other game I've played comes close the time it takes to get all star coins and win. On world 9, there are a few star coins that it's better to give up than spent hundreds of lives trying to get.

I beat Super Metroid for the SNES, it wasn't tough compared to most NES side scrollers but the bosses were dang hard towards the end of the game. I did a bad job at beating the game, I got the second to worst ending screen. I mean how was I supposed to beat the game in what ever time and get 100%?

I have came close to beating Zelda 2 but shadow link is just a pain.

Jackal for NES is insanely hard for an up-scroller.  You don't get much in the way of damage and there are so many bullets and explosions as you proceed.  Lives aren't abundant and you have to avoid most combat to make a good go at it.

Try Jackal, don't save, and beat that.  It was a heroic victory for me in middle school.

The most difficult video game I had ever beaten was Pokemon Heart Gold Version, totaling in on one hundred hours before my post-game activities. It will probably lose its place to The Legend of Zelda: SKyward Sword, which I have not yet beat, as I have already spent much more time on it and am not even close to the end.

In a way, you can complete Scribblenaut games. . . But I find it so hard when you are on one mission for ages, trying to solve and ask others how to do! Even though Scribblenauts is a puzzle game it can get really challenging in seven levels in to the game! That would be like 10 minutes until you start to use google and youtube for answers!

Metal gear solid 3 I believe it was hard mode, if enemy soldiers spotted you it was game over, so needed lot of patience to finish that game.

The hardest game that I have been able to beat. I would say it would be Mega Man X3. I have played harder games but just have not been able to beat them.

The mavericks in Mega Man X3 aren't to bad. What Makes X3 hard is the Doppler stages and later the Sigma stages. The sigma Battle at the end is one of the hardest in the Super Nintendo Series of Mega Man X. Sigma's hit box is very small so its hard to hit him. It took me several times. Finally I beat him but then had to beat the Lave flooding the battle room to make it to the top. So yeah Mega Man X3 was hard for me to beat. I would also like to say I enjoy playing it though

I think the toughest came I've ever beat (that comes to mind) was battletoads for the NES.  People complain about how hard the turbo bike level is but that level is nothing compared to some of the other speed based levels later on in the game.  It took many tries.

Beating Super Mario Bros. for the first time was pretty tough as well considering I was like 6 years old.  I played that game a ton but world 8 would always chew me up especially 8-1 and 8-3 they were so hard.  I finally beat it one morning before school (shows how addicted I was) I would actually wake up early just to play.  I bragged all day.

This would probably have too be a toss up between Super Metroid for the NES or Megaman X for the SNES. Those took me a while to beat and was literally a rage game for me. Super Metroid was literally the worst . I could also say MMBN4 on super hard mode although the only hard thing about it was the final boss Duo. Everything else was fairly easy because I had basically mastered the game by then. Except Duo he basically wrecked me.

The game that I found hardest to beat is Trauma Center: New Blood, because you have to do everything with the pointer, and, I tend to have a shaky hand, sooo that proves to be veerrryyy difficult, especially in the last level.

I typically tend to stay away from games which are designed specifically to be hard to beat. The only real game which I have played which I found hard is Super Meat Boy, which isn't hard. You just need a lot of skill(which I lack!) and the boss of Hell is...you know what I mean if you played it.

I beat Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and it was quite difficult. Especially the bosses on the second half of the game. But it was worth it, it is now my favorite game of all time. The first all boss in BioShock Infinite was pretty difficult but I beat it as well.

I believe it was MGS4, it wasn't the game itself cause that was fairly easy, but I had to do the no-kill/no-alert and man that was a pain on how many times I had to start segments over just because I made a careless move, or something happened that I hadn't anticipated.

The hardest game I've ever beaten would be Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. Unlike all the other KH games THIS on revolved around using cards for combos and moves. The higher the card, the stronger the hit. Basically I had to incorporate my knowledge of card counting into a fast-paced fighting RPG.

Not the easiest thing to do. I basically spent hours fighting bosses by just spamming the X button and hoping that I came up with a good combo. Honestly, it was probably the worst game in the series, but I reached this point where if I gave it up I would feel like a complete and total failure for not finishing what I started.

One time I beat Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary on Intense difficulty with no deaths... Not really, that was a downright lie. Probably the craziest thing I've done of that game was beat Tabuu on Normal... Those off-waves, man, I'm tellin' ya...

I don't recall the toughest, but here a few that are specifically difficult:

Buck Bumble (N64) - This game is dang hard, I'm not kidding... Well, I guess it's not really that hard, but there's one level that makes you wish you killed whoever designed the controls for the game. Actually, I've never beaten this game in the correct. The last levels are really tough, but I've beaten them by using level select, because I don't have a memory card for my N64 (so I can't save).

Banjo-Kazooie (N64) - Even though I haven't beat the final boss (dude, Grunty has like 5000 health), I've still gotten more than enough Jiggies that's needed to complete the game. Each Jiggy is hidden (well, some of them are pretty obvious), some have difficult challenges that are needed to access them, and then there's the notes... Those musical notes are damn annoying, they require you to replay every frickin level multiple times until you have enough, AND THEN you find that there's another door immediately after the first one that needs like 800000 musical notes.

Star Wars Bounty Hunter (PS2) - This game starts out easy, then gets progressively harder. Yeah, most games do that, but this game gets real hard. There's one level in the game that has taken me literally about 5 years of trying (of course not daily) before I could finally beat it. I think it's called Tusken Canyon or something, but it mixes platforming and shooters together... That's something no one should ever do, because it makes things crazy difficult. Then there are those damned missile launchers that take you out in one hit, and those damned Tusken Raiders that you can't even see that snipe your head off in like 3 shots, then there's those wolf things that somehow only appear right behind you and push you off the frickin' edge. That level is harder than MY MUSCLES.

Metal Arms (PS2) - OK, OK, this game isn't bad. After all, it gives you infinite retries, so you could still beat it easily. But pretend you can only die 3 times in a level. That would make this harder than Contra. 42 levels, half of them making you die multiple times before you finally finish it (especially those space ones and the Zombibot levels).

The hardest game I have ever beaten was Dragon Age: Origins. I don't know what it was about that game, but some of the battles would take me 2 hours to get though. And the final battle took me two nights. I had to stop after over an hour of trying the first night because I came dangerously close to throwing my controller through the TV.
