Avalanche is a breakout type game.  In it you have to hit rocks with your bat, to score points.  You start with a row of six large bats, one under the other.
The first rocks to fall are large and easy to hit.  As the game continues, the speed of the rocks gets faster, and the number of bats goes down. As the rocks get smaller, so does your bat.  
At the top two rows, the bat is at it's smallest, with the rocks falling quickly.  It can be hard to get the rocks, at this level.  As you might get one rock, on one edge, then another at almost the same time, on the other.
If you can score over 450 points you get extended play.
Overall a good variation on breakout, that has just the right 'one more try' feeling.

nightfireplunder : well this is a nice review..but i know you could do better....plus you could make it longer and break it down into different categories. But overall..you did ok. Have a nice day.
