Can I just put this out there? Some of the franchises you guys put out there literally have less than a 0% chance of ever being in Smash, and you have to think logically about this. The Characters have to have quite the recognition in the gaming community, minus a few exceptions. (Oh the drugs they were on when they decided to implement the Wii Fit Trainer. AND IT IS GOING TO BE AWESOME...) Don't kill me for it, but let me explain why so many of these franchises have no chance for Smash.
dragonball : Look at this from a real world perspective. Dragonball is an Anime, and was never intended for gaming use, and then its fighting games are rather... unheard of. To know about these games, people have to know Dragonball outside of a simple Over 9000 reference or some basic knowledge, and as Dragonball ages, this gets more and more rare. Also the fact that the contrasting style for both of the two, Dragonball and Smash, make them almost incompatible from a business standpoint. Add this to the fact that a Dragonball game hasn't appeared on a Nintendo home console since 2009, and you have an impossible dream.
Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, and Pac-Man: I am absurdly happy for both Mega Man and Sonic's implementation in the Smash Bros series, but considering the circumstances, I doubt they will obtain any more characters than that. For Pac-Man's case, it is due to a lack of actual characters in the series, despite the fact that it has grown over the years. For Mega Man and Sonic's case, its due to a lack of fanbase and their position as series from non-First Party developers. There is some chance for more characters, but not likely since all three have the status of Third Party franchises, somewhat throwing them under the bus. Don't let your hope die, though, since these 3 have more a chance than others.
Final FANtasy : This series has a higher chance than, say, Dragonball, but is still lower than my height at age 5. Two factors come into play here: Final Fantasy's dieing fanbase, and the fact that the series has appeared almost exclusively on Sony platforms. Mainly, its the last one, because of licensing issues and the fact that it is basically inviting a rival in the video game industry to come have tea, and the closest anyone has ever come to that was the Colecovision's first Expansion Module in the early 1980's, but even that prompted legal action due to it not being licensed. Of course, we have to consider the first one, because the Final Fantasy series is losing a lot of fans day after day, due to a lack in quality of the newer games, and the less attention Square has paid to it. Golden Sun: The only character ever requested from Golden Sun is Isaac, which makes sense, but this still isn't very likely, at least to me. Although Smash has done weird things before, it isn't safe to assume just because he hasn't been announced as an Assist Trophy again, that he will be playable. Golden Sun has only had three games, and not as many fans as I am sometimes led to believe. Although, I will give it one thing, its rerelease on the Wii U in April does make me wonder...
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Seriously, I cannot give an explanation for this one. Just, WHY? THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA!
Sorry if I offended anyone, but I am just trying to look at this from a realistic viewpoint. I didn't mean to attack anyones opinions, or say that a series is bad or anything, but you have to know better about what works and what doesn't in the video game industry.
