That is a massively wide open question.
I read the first book, Dune, when I was in high school.  I liked it a lot and enjoyed reading.  I never backed it up and went to pick up the other books.  I know the whole series is out there for me.

I'll read them and get back to you.  I feel like I should wander away to a library and get started.

I am still half way through the first one. I saw the David Lynch movie and have heard so many people talk about it that I already know at least sort of what is going to happen so I have been reading other books. Nevertheless, the story is very interesting.
