For those who always keep bothering in the chat box wanting to know why Gen 2 and 3 Pokémon do not evolve.

You need National Dex first before you can evolve Gen 2 and 3 Pokémon
How do hell do you do that you've been questioning yourself.. Well, It's actually pretty simple.

Catch as many Gen 1 Pokémon before beating the game.
You need 60+ Pokémon to achieve The national Dex.

For everyone who is catching Gen 2-3 starters, don't worry. You're not wasting your time training it.
A lot of pre evolutions actually learn stronger moves earlier then fully evolved ones. So, you can train cyndaquil to lv 50 so it can have flamethrower. Without train typhlosion to lv 60+..
same goes for mudkip. Marchstomp doesn't learn Hydro pomp. But Mudkip does. At lv 43 If I'm correct.

The game itself is not to hard so you can easily solo run it with a Zangoose, Mr. Mime, Raticate, Farfech'd, murkrow.

Yngwie : Though I played Sapphire, I had no idea I had to go through all that to evolve the Gen 1 & 2 Pokémon. I get it that it's an incentive to build up the National Dex a bit in the 1st place, but still, it seems kinda silly to me, especially if you wanted to use some older Pokémon for Battle Tower as soon as possible or link-battle with someone immediately with older Pokémon...

pokemon light platinum and x and y
because.. you can catch pokemon whenever you like to owned.
