I'm going to be writing a game review for a pokemon fire red hack called pokemon master version. Now this hack does not have a lot to offer (Aside from catching really good level 1 pokemon in the beginning) In this review I'm going to be talking about all the areas of the game and what this hack has to offer. Enjoy!
-Graphics : 5.0-
The graphics have not really been changed and the parts that have been changed (Example : The hill area in pallet town) were obviously rushed, and no thought was put into it whatsoever. Maybe the person that made this hack COULD have put in new areas, new buildings and new maps. I'm giving the graphics a 5 because I feel as though more could have been done to them but the edited parts still looked pretty neat.
-Sound : 5.0-
There is not much to say about the sound due to the fact that it sounds the same as the fire red soundtrack. Maybe some remixed sounds for the pokemon crys would have been nice. I gave the music a 5 because like I said before, the sound is exactly the same as the fire red soundtrack. If you make a hack you have to consider the sound as well.
-Addictiveness : 1.0-
I know I'm being a little harsh but to be honest this is a game were I'm likely to never come back to it. There are a few reasons for this, the first reason is that I can't stand how you can just get your perfect team at the beginning of the game. I know they are level one but that does not make a difference. The other reason is that, if I wanted to play this again, I could just play fire red since both of them are near enough identical to one another. If you make a hack one of the key things to remember is to make it stand out from the crowd somehow! I know there is a pokemon ROM contest going on at the month and I can honestly say, I don't think this game is not going to even make it to the top 30.
I rated this game a 1.0 because thats how I truly feel about this game

I can't say much about the story due to the fact that well...IT'S IDENTICAL TO THE STORY IN FIRE RED AND LEAF GREEN! One of the key elements to a good hack is to change the text and make the story better. Did this person do that? No he (or she) did not! The person who made this SHOULD have put more thought into changing the story around than the map and the pokemon. I gave the story a 5.0 because its the same as the actual game.
-Depth : 4.0-
The game is the same as fire red / leaf green so there is much to offer. But in terms of hack only stuff, this game does not have a lot to do. I know you can get really good pokemon in the start but..that's really about it. I gave this a 4.0 ONLY because I'm feeling generous today. And also because it has all the fire red events plus one or two of its own.
-Difficulty : 1.0-
This game is super easy compared to other hacks. Hacks are meant to make easy games harder, and since fire red is easy as it is, putting in good pokemon at the beginning just makes it ridiculously easy and anybody could make a game harder then this. I mean it's not fun when you know you have beat the game already at the beginning. I have this a 1.0 because it's SUPER easy.
-Overall : 4.5-
Overall I feel like this is a very poor hack. It has VERY little to offer for it's hack only stuff and I KNOW full well its made for the pokemon ROM hacking contest. This game is rushed, either for vizz or cp. I think this is a game made for those who are to lazy search and evolve good pokemon.
