I play Alto Sax.

I play Trumpet and Alto Sax. It is so fun, exciting, and awesome. Later, I want to play percussions and trombone.

I write lyrics. Me and a couple of my buddies do like a linkin park/limp biscuit deal with the rap and rock mixed. We are getting stuff together to play for the public soon. We do all are own music so basically it's a work in process but I'm the rap artist if you say of the group...

I play the trombone, guitar, and a little of piano(really little... like really really little...). I think i'm pretty good with trombone but i want to be really good at guitar and piano but i can't take any lessons so now i'm just trying to get better on my own :/

Well, I used to play the clarinet, I've taken piano lessons but was never able to finish them, I own a guitar which I don't know how to play but I'm trying to learn, & I love to sing. I usually sing country & a little bit of pop but I sound the best when I sing gospel.

I play trombone in my school's band. I have succeeded in making the Alabama All-State honor band (for those of you who don't know, that is the best high school musicians in the state) three years in a row.

Under a more casual environment, I play guitar and bass. I play bass in my church's choir. I want to play guitar or bass in a band, but I'm not in one quite yet.

I can play Keyboard, Guitar, and Drums and I write lyrics but I don't really know how to compose, I just play, I'm pretty good though. I'm more of a singer, I have a punk voice and sound almost exactly like http://www.last.fm/music/Alexisonfire. Their main singer.

YOUR IN A BAND!!! Lucky. I've been trying to get a band together since my 8th grade year. The only person I know that is good is my friend. We both play guitar. There are a few drummers where I live. However, there may be only about two or three bassists in my home town. I'll be lucky to find one.

I can't really do anything artistic besides sing. I was the best singer in my choir class in high school. Now I'm still a good singer I just have no way to use that talent since I'm not in a band or anything.

eliminator96 : The Ramones are THE greatest Punk band. they were one of the first, and brought more to Punk, than any other band has. I am VERY surprised to see an actual Ramones fan on Vizzed. I thought this was for more of the younger gen, as I am.

I'm a solo musician to an extent. Still learning, but can play stuff if you give me the background sound to back up my vocals. I do mostly growling vocals. I'm aspiring to become as good as the female growlers who can sound so brutal, they even sound like a man. I want to have a unique growl, as well. One that tells people that KlawedFlaw was here. Well... I don't have anything recorded right now, but I am getting better at guitar, and could make a little some about gore to fit my growling. I also do goth rock, but I'm still working on that.

I plan to add some crust punk into my metal style, as I enjoy that type of punk quite a bit. It has the sassy, angry sound I want in my music. I am also planning to make a PSA type song, but have to sell-out if I wanna get it played locally. I live in a hick town, you see. I gotta play country or blues if I wanna get it played. Maybe some kind people will play my actually version... It's a song about the fact that you could die if you talk and drive. It was inspired by a drive to church.

I'm also planning to write silly stuff like this one song Venom wrote.

I'm very influenced by black metal, death metal, the less popular thrash bands of the 80's, crust punk, hardcore punk, Demon Hunter's brand of metalcore, NWOBHM, a bit of old school metal, blues, and many forms of industrial, as well as, goth rock and goth music.

Not many people where I live likes what I like, but I plan to play for charity only. I want to do good with my music, and use it for helping those in need. I plan to only set up my own local charity stuff, and just have fun with what I'm doing. I'm playing for my own fun, and to maybe inspire some people who never would try to make heavy music, but want to.

My lyrics will also be about a lot of death, personal struggles, exploration of various religions, and so much more.

Clayton 2 : My cousin can play drums, and play guitar. I actually thought of starting a band in his room, since it has all I need to have a band. Haha.

Anyone like to use Tuxguitar to help in learning sheet music, and how to play guitar? I'm planning to use it as an extension to my use of a book to help me learn. I'm downloading tabs for songs I shouldn't even be playing until I get a 7 string, though.

Two microphones. One for the guitar, the other for vocals.
My computer for mixing and saving.

I like the idea of a less than fancy recording set up. I don't plan to make black metal, but the idea of the less expensive set up just appeals to me.

Anyone know any good songs I should learn other than the obvious?

KlawedFlaw : Hmmmm, I know nothing about the guitar. I only am a drummer/synth player.
But I do have a suggestion on a good PC recording software, use the free version of gold wave (the full version costs a lot!), I used it and it works pretty good for standard use.
