If I was into Pokemon and knew most of them there would be I'd like the most, but I only slightly know of Pokemon after the Red and Blue games. Merrill(sp?) would be my favorite. When Super Smash Bros. first came out for the Nintendo 64 and I played it for the first time I chose Pikachu simply because he was an anime character, and I liked anime. When SSBM was out for Game Cube they added more pokeball summons and Merrill made its debut. I saw the first Pokemon movie that came out years and years ago, too, which featured a short film of the Pokemon at a water park. Merrill was shown for the first time along with a few others.

So only because I know of that pokemon from the movie and game Merrill would be my favorite water type.

My favorite water type Pokemon is Blastoise. He is awesome, strong, and powerful. He also has great fierce moves. Blastoise also looks cool, with his big shell and 2 huge pumps. I think for non-legendaries I would choose Kingdra, because it looks so cool. In the legendaries section I would choose Kyogre considering it has the power to raise the sea level.
