WELCOME my fans and or casual readers today i am going to review TYRANITAR...well first i have to review larvitar but dont worry it should not be to long...oh level 55...well this going to be a while....but lets get this started by telling you why i like larvitar

Honestly i just like the training part of it for some reason when i was a kid and even now as an adult i love constantly grinding constantly farming to get stronger and i dont really know why maybe its just because once i finally get to my goal it will feel more rewarding but lets get this review started

MOVESET

At the start this guy will only know bite and leer...decent

At level 5 we get sandstorm and this seems somewhat effective but i dont recommend it

At level 10 we get screech...ugh...

at level 14 we get chip away this move has a base attack damage of 70 and ignores the targets boost in speed and defense this is a good move i say take it

Now at level 19 we get rock slide the rock type move has a base attack damage of 75 and has 90% accuracy this a great move to protect you from flying types i say you should take it

At level 23 we get scary face...pfft...

NOW at level 28 we get a odd yet effective move known as thrash now thrash has a base damage of 120 and has 100% accuracy...oh you think your getting away with that pfft also this pokemon confuses the user after using this move for about 3-5 times...if you can take that side effect i say go with this move i know i freaking love this move but the choice is up to you

NOW at level 30 we get are first evolution known as pupitar and this thing gets a major boost in stats mostly its defense but we will get more into that later

At level 34 we get a move that sounds so cool...dark pulse...that sounds like a spell in WOW or something but anyway dark pulse has a base damage of 80 and also has 100% accuracy to take that even further this move has a 20% chance of making the target flinch USE THIS MOVE

At level 41 we get payback...i dont like it use it if you want...

Now at level 47 we get one of my favorite moves known as crunch this move is nothing but bite on steroids it has a base attack damage of 80 and has a 30% chance of making the target flinch

At level 54 we get yet another move that i adore known as earthquake oh yeah this is one of the best ground type moves ever made it has a base attack damage of 100 and 100% accuracy....THIS MOVE IS SO GOOD TAKE IT YOU FOOL TAKE IT

At level 55 we get the biggest grand slammin mamma jamma of em all known as tyranitar....i have no words all we have to do is look at its greatness and move on...

Alright once we get tyranitar this thing gets a sudden burst of good moves one of which is stone edge at level 63 this rock type move has a base attack damage of 100 and has 80% accuracy....this is a very good move i think you should take it

At level 73 we get hyper beam and we should all know what this move does and i dont like it but use it if you want

at level 82 we get giga impact and im sorry but...most of us here know what these moves do so...i dont like it but use it if you want-man i am getting lazy...

STATS

my god once this thing hits level 55 we get stats that are so good they could pass as legendarys all of this pokemons stats if you round them all up together equal 600...some legendarys dont even have that power-okay wait were getting a little ahead of ourselves let me tell you the stats individually its health is at 100...that is awesome and its going to help you through some tough times later in the game now its attack is its highest stat and that stat stands at 134 that stat allows you to chop down anything with no care or remorse its defense is at 110 that is very helpful because that stat makes this thing a hybrid of offensive and defensive and that is what i love maybe you guys prefer something else but i love pokemon like that now its second lowest stat is its special attack which is fine because of 2 things 1 this pokemon has a wide variety of moves and tms and 2 its obvious that no other stats were affected to have this stat now its special defense is at 100 which basically gives it the same advantage of a high defense stat but it protects you from even more threats and lastly its lowest that is its speed at 61 and that is PERFECT because this pokemon is not meant to be quick on its feet its meant to be a giant that can deal damage and take damage and thats why i can skip that stat because we have a bigger problem...a MUCH bigger problem you want to know the one major flaw with this thing...ITS WEAKNESSES IT HAS 6 WEAKNESSES 5 OF THOSE ARE COMMONLY FOUND those grass water ground steel fighting and bug...my god...okay if you can get past that then dont worry because it should not be to much of a problem me on the other hand...man those weaknesses were annoying

alright i think i found a pretty good set to work with

Crunch
Stone edge
Dark pulse
Earthquake

Okay this might not be the best set ever but put your pitch forks down for a second and let me explain...wait theres nothing to explain this set is designed to kill anything ANYTHING in your way there is little to no strategy behind it is just kill kill maim maim murder murder so...if you guys got a better set just let me know in a reply or pm me i would love to here what you guys think


GYMS AND RIVALS

Holy crap this thing wrecks gyms...once you evolve it that is when its larvitar or hey even pupitar your going to have a bit of trouble but tyranitar pfft you wont have to worry your pretty little head because this thing will destroy all opposition with out batting an eye now once you get to the gym leader your going to have to use a bit of strategical thinking but it should not be to much of a problem if you have a decent team backing you up now your rival will be somewhat of a challenge just about 1 or 2 steps below a gym leader and you will have to think when facing him/her but once again it should not be to much of a problem as long as you have a team backing you up but this time however the team is going to be somewhat essential to winning because rivals in any pokemon game have very wide rang and very flexible pokemon aka they have alot of types so just be prepared this guy cant tank everything by himself as for trainers...i hate that i have to keep saying this but there nothing there just nothing just cannon fodder there not even a threat there just a nuisance so dont even worry about that as for the elite 4 should you take it...yeah i think so its not the best pokemon to take to the elite 4 but its got some things going for it to be honest the only thing holding it back just a little is its speed so i still say you should take it but be wary it wont be easy

Final thoughts: woah this is a great pokemon like...really great granted it does have something holding it back like that speed but thats just a minor problem its like nitpicking a movie but the one thing that is really holding it back are those weaknesses my god it seems like some of the best pokemon in the game are plagued with that crap i cant find a single great pokemon that is not cursed with those weaknesses..but anyway this thing has a good moveset but there will be some bumps in the road awesome stats except for...you know what...it has great tms and its great against gyms all in all if your looking for a tough rock type that can crush some psychic types and take a few hits as well take this guy i cant think of any other pokemon thats not a legendary that can do what this pokemon does but better

P;S anyway i dont know about you guys but i love ed edd n eddy i grew up with it im such a freaking nerd that i have all the episodes on dvd and even the behind the set stuff also i am a fan of fanfiction but good fanfiction and one of my favorites is ed edd n eddy the teen series my god go to fanfiction.net or google and look that up if you wanted to know what they were like as teenagers go read that it is the best potrayal of the edds i have seen...does this count as advertising...i hope not...if it is tell me i can edit this out just dont close this down my god dont close this down or some head are falling off

A handy move that you can switch Dark Pulse out for is Flamethrower.

Flamethrower can handle the steel types that aren't affected by Tyranitar's other attacks. 

Pursuit is a nice handy dandy move too...not a necessity, but Pursuit works well. 

Dragon Dance can be a nice move too. High Speed and Attack works extremely well on Tyranitar. 

Other than that, there really isn't much to say about such an awesome Pokémon.

Sidewinder : you actually have a point there i could switch out dark pulse for flamethrower as i did not find dark pulse that useful plus i would finally a mean to defend my self from grass types and Earthquake can cover steel types thats a great tip thanks

I think what I hated the most about this Pokemon was the training. It was a great Pokemon I just never liked the sprite and training it all the way to level 55 in the grass is just something that I want to cut my throat with. Competitively you would definitely want to change that moveset but as far as in game it is a great Pokemon and that moveset is still very effective. I would use some great TMs to make this a one Pokemon team and just have 1-2 backups just in case you mess up which does happen or we get a crazy surprise which also happens in game. I love the power of this Pokemon but not the Sandstorm ability it has where it makes a Sandstorm. Even when it gets KOd your backup team takes some damage which is never fun or good. Tyranitar is similar to Dragonite due to not only levels of evolution but also as both of them being as strong as some legendaries if not stronger and the fact that if needed they could actually be a one Pokemon team. A moveset which I would suggest is:
Earthquake
Stone Edge or Blizzard
Flamethrower or Thunder
and Dark Pulse

relinquish022 : *dislikes the post again to make it worse* No, i'm kidding..! XD I've kinda noticed a lot of your reviews over time and read a couple of these. This one kinda stands out to me because Larvitar was on of my most favorite pokemon to have on my team. I have to say this is a really good review template you have going on by breaking down the levels and movesets a long with stats and possible weakness. You do a really good job with this and the review is one I can agree with. 

I hope to see more good reviews like these. Personal preference: wouldn't mind seeing a Gengar one but that's just me. Gengar is one of my favorites. But keep up the good work, man.
