If you could either be handsome/beautiful and an average body below the neck or a very attractive form and an average face, which would you pick?  Say you can't do anything to really improve your body if you pick face.

Me?  I'm a guy and girls probably go for the face.  The rest can be hidden under clothes.

I would agree with you, the clothes can hide everything else but my face. First impressions are important, and one of the many things the person you are trying to impress is your face - people will remember you by your face as well, so it's good to have a handsome face.

Face (which I do) rather than body (which I don't, I mean it isn't bad but not great either). Although, I've seen some dopey looking dudes with knockout women so this leads me to believe that chemistry has a lot more to do with confidence and wit rather than looks. Just my opinion...

I don't really care about how attractive I am, but if I were given the choice to have either an attractive face or body, I would choose face. Like what Sidewinder said, first impressions are important, and people will remember others by their face.

To be quite honest, if I were a girl (I'm a guy), I'd choose body. But, since I am a guy, I am going to pick face.
Why? To attract the Women. Body isn't everything for a woman, you know. Besides, why have a gorgeous body, but have a horrifyingly bad face, and also have the personality of a door knob?

I would.... probably say face? If I lived in a California or somewhere where I would often be shirtless, I may choose body, as it does stand out more.... but I think the face is where people who actually want to know you look at.

I would be more interested in knowing what girls think of guys. What is more attractive to you, a better looking body, or face?

Light Knight : You asked what girls think is more attractive? Most girls think it's really important with a nice body. But I know that almost every girl would not even consider dating a guy who has an ugly face. I think a little bit of both is the best. Of course there are girls who don't care at all about the looks and only about the personality. Personally I don't care much about the body, and more about the face. In my opinion looks are absolutely not everything and the most important thing is the personality.

Now for my answer to this question. I would choose face, a girl with a beautiful face is way cuter than a girl with body like Barbie but face like Sméagol. Therefore I'm really satisfied with how I look, I have a little bit of both

0ddie : Thanks. I suppose that was the answer I expected. And I agree, I think many people do care more about personality, but looks usually are a factor earlier on in a relationship.

Face.  This is because you can change what your body look like with physical activity, but changing your face would require plastic surgery and the lot.

By attractive body do you mean very fit and strong? if that's the case I choose body every day of the week   

Hahaha this question made me laugh I guess the face the body doesn't really matter to me don't take that the wrong way though.

I would rather have an attractive face, with beautiful eyes, the rest doesn't really matter to me. Reason being is there are so many easy ways to make your body look slimmer, curvier and more shapely with the right clothing. And you can always hide your body with clothing if you aren't too confident about the way your body looks, but you can't really do the same thing with your face. ^.^

But as always we shouldn't judge someone on how they look anyways.

I guess an attractive face, because I can always work out and get a toned muscular body, with a little effort and dedication. I mean it would cost 1,000s to get surgery on an ugly face if it was like truly hideous or something, while all you need to get in shape is be active, run and work out without spending a fortune. So I would rather have a nice, attractive face and then work on the rest of the body from there. Surely a little effort and motivation is all I need to work out and get fit. So there is what i would do, plain and simple.

I would rather have an attractive face. I think it's harder to look past a really ugly face, maybe that's just me. XD

Annette : I counterpoint that with what if you have a belly that looks like a 2 foot bowling ball sticking out your stomach? the appearance takes a big shift then heh   

This question is so hard! Ever since I first saw it here, I keep thinking about it and trying to figure out how I feel on the issue.  I mean, my gut instinct is to say I'd rather have a nice face, or I'd be more attracted to a nice face.  However, the comments here made me start to doubt myself.  I strangely have a hard time judging men for appearance anyways... almost as though it's impossible for me to look at a man and distinguish if they are good looking or not.

So I started thinking some more on the issue, and I do have to say that I'd rather someone be in shape, than not in shape at all. I mean if we want to speak about practicalities, there's a lot more to be said for a body that is fit.  Labor is easier, and there's a comfort to be found in strength, I think.

So face? Body?  That's such a difficult question. I guess it depends on the motive behind the answer.

I wold honestly say face. My main reason is because if you are unhappy with your body, there are things you can do about it. Even though it can be hard work, you can improve your body. But you are stuck with your face. Unless you have a lot of money to throw away on a plastic surgeon to fix your face, you can never improve that. When it comes to your face, you get what you get.
