Thanks for reading my review of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue for PlayStation!  --kramer4077

Overall 7.5-- I'm going through some PlayStation games looking for ones without screenshots to submit to this site.  I never had a PlayStation, just a PS2 so I'm finding some great games that are new to me!  I must say I was pleasantly surprised with this Power Rangers game.  It was really pretty good to play!  You choose a Power Ranger (I picked blue) and you go through different levels fighting bad guys and trying to rescue hostages.  It reminded me a lot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 for NES.  There aren't bad guys popping up all over the place, which is nice.  The one gripe I have is that the jumping was really strange.  At times the Power Ranger could jump just fine onto something and at other times he could barely jump off the ground.  Also, it's like the game just expected that you'd know where to go next (like fall through the floor or hop on the elevator).  Sometimes an arrow would appear to help you, but other times when you needed help there was no arrow.

Graphics: 8--The graphics were nice and colorful.  The backgrounds were set in lots of different locations--on top of buildings and in parking garages.  I liked that there was no way to fall off the sides of the building during game-play.

Sound: 7--I'm guessing the sound was all right, but I had to mute it since my computer lagged a bit on this game.  There was some background music and voices that would tell you the missions.

Addictiveness: 7--Like I said, I was pleasantly surprised at this game.  It was good enough that I'd play it again to try to finish beating the one-player mode.

Story:  8--There was a story that some other characters would come talk to you in cut-scenes.  The Power Rangers had to find the hostages and beat the bad guys.  There were some freaky-looking bosses to beat.  Nothing too difficult though.

Depth:  8--I did only try the one-player mode.  It seemed that there were other modes, but I didn't look in to those.  I suppose the one-player mode only goes so far and then you would complete it.

Difficulty: 8--The jumping thing kind of drove me crazy.  When I wanted the blue Power Ranger to jump and pick up some health, he wouldn't jump very high off the ground.  Yet when fighting he'd jump just fine.  So the most difficult thing would be the controls and remembering what all the buttons do.  I ended up just button-mashing when facing the bosses.  It was also difficult to know where to go without the little arrow showing you the way.  I got stuck for where to go at times, then all of a sudden after running your character around for three minutes I'd fall through the floor at some random spot (as if I would have known what to do otherwise).  It was a pretty difficult game because of those two issues.

Pretty good review. If you are going to be writing more reviews or other long posts, I suggest changing your layout.

tgags123 : Thank you and yeah I didn't realize about the layout until today.  I just started using that layout this week since I love Mario Kart.  Unfortunately the text box is too small, so I changed it and we'll see how this new box turns out
