The Story: You are all a group of friends that are on a vacation together. One of the stops on this vacation takes you to a supposedly haunted mansion out in the woods owned by an old woman and her grandson. You all decide to stay the night there not knowing that the tales about the house are actually true. The old woman warns you that not many people are brave enough to spend more than 1 night in this house. The group decides that it's all just part of the "show" the old woman puts on to get word of mouth advertising and that there is little that she would possible do to actually hurt you. During the first evening a loud voice proclaims through the house, "There is one among you who I crave. I've made this person into my slave. Every morning one die. In the grave you all will lie." Frightened and unsure of what to do you all rush to the old woman for help. She tells you that there is only 1 thing that can be done. You must contact the spirits to guide you to the identity of the possessed person in your group. She tells you all that a complex ritual can be performed that will allow to receive an answer to 2 questions per night. The first will give you information about the possessed person and the second will allow you a chance to guess their identity. After that guess the spirits leave and you must wait until the following evening before the ritual can be performed again. With no other choice but to attempt this ritual you all sit down at a table together to attempt to figure out the identity of the possessed person and escape the house alive.

Rules: The group gets a list of questions that they want the "spirits" to answer (they know who is possessed but cannot reveal it unless the group figure it out on their own. They can only gives clues or help guide the group to the answer....) and each player must think the answer in their head (PM to the person hosting the game). The question that gets the majority vote will be asked. If no question gets a majority then no question is asked, but the spirits give a clue about the murderer's identity. (which the "murderer" will send me at the beginning of the game. This allows some information to be given no matter what, it just might not be the info that people were hoping for).

After the question is answered then the group will get a chance to pick who they think is possessed (again in their head, Pm'd to the host). If they pick wrong then the spirits will tell us who isn't the murderer and the game continues as before. If no majority is reached on who they think is the murderer then no info is given and the murderer is not found and gets a free kill. If the group is wrong, they all go to bed (because you can't stay awake forever and because the spirits will only stay around until the group guesses the identity of the murderer) and in that time someone is killed in some gruesome way that I'll think up as the game goes on by the murderer (the person they want to kill will be sent to me). So basically I act as the old woman, and the spirits. I reveal the knowledge that the spirits are supplying. I'm running the show .

The game ends when 5 people have died, at this point the murderer/possessed person becomes confident enough to take on the few remaining people in the group and kill them off. So be sure to figure out who it is before that!

Posting that is allowed or not allowed in the thread:

not allowed: you can not post your pick in the channel. That is against the rules. Picks for questions and for the murderer must be sent via PM to the host (me!). Any post made in this thread will be edited so that your pick is gone. You can talk to each other using any type of media you want, you just can't post in the thread itself about which person or question to pick.

allowed: discussion about who you think may or may not be the murderer. You can debate and argue and deceive all you want. You can suggest someone you think might be ther murderer but official picks are not allowed. The point of this game is for the murderer to kill everyone and for everyone to figure out who the murderer is so do as much talking about who you think could be the murderer. However, I don't want to see a list of people that people think could or couldn't be the murderer. You're not detectives, you're just a group of people trying to figure out who the murderer might be while he is sitting right in front of you. Stay in character. Someone is trying to kill you and talking too much might get you taken out early.

The Murderer: You are the one that is possessed. Your goal is to kill everyone off without getting caught, at least until you've got the group down to a manageable size. However, you won't act quite the same as the murderer of old. This time around you will act through me. After a question is asked you will PM me personally (no need for the murderer account) with your answer and I will post it. I will not post it immediately. I will wait for some discussion to happen before I post the answer. I will also not post the answer right after I receive it so that people don't try to figure out who was online when the PM was sent. The same goes for kills. PM me who you would like to kill and I will kill them off for you.

Hopefully these rules make sense. If anyone wants/need clarification then PM me and I will give you more information. If you break these rules you might end up angering the spirits which could result in your death. I will post a list of questions in a few minutes (hopefully within the hour) and I hope to get all the votes within the next 24 hours. Good luck to everyone!

remember, you can dicuss which question you want picked but your official pick can not be made in here (nor will it be counted if it is made in here). I might also make a mandatory time for votes to be in by. I'll see how well it goes for the first day but if we wait more than 48 hours for votes I'll start setting mandatory vote times and if you miss then I guess you don't get a vote. I mean, these spirits won't wait forever for you to make up your mind!

i debated between 1 and 5 and 4 personaly

I think number 3 is a good choice. Saying what animal you like makes you reveal lots of clues.

I think that questions 1 and 5 may provide the most information, but I'm not sure about 3 cause it didn't help much last round.

3 isn't really a good round 1 question. 4 could be good, but there are some really generic answers that people could give

question 4 is a pretty good question, but #5 may provie more information. its pretty much asking who influences you, unless if you want to be someone else out of envy.

If they could be anyone in the world, i'd be Bill Gates. He is one of the wealthiest men alive and is a genius. They would put the money to excellent use and would also help microsoft fix many of its problems....

I figured as much, but it's a good idea to make guessing the murderer more difficult.

Anyway, that's an interesting pick, but very general. Personally, I'd probably have picked a DB (defensive back) in the NFL. That's my dream job, even though it will never happen. Great pay + a job I'd truly love.
