Overall (9.8)
Overall, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team is a very fun game. It is a lot different than the main Pokemon games. In the regular Pokemon games, you are a trainer that travels the world catching and training Pokemon to beat the gyms and the Pokemon League. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is completely different. I'll go into more detail later.
Graphics (8)
The graphics in this game aren't anything special. They aren't bad, they just aren't exceptionally good. It looks just like any other Game Boy Advance game does.
Sound: (8)
Much like the graphics, the sound isn't outstanding either. I like the music and sound effects, they're just not "blow you away" good.
Addictiveness (10)
This game is so addictive I wouldn't be surprised if traces of nicotine were found in the game cartridges. I'm kidding, I'm kidding. It is very addictive though. You'll never want to stop playing. I used to play 24/7 on my Game Boy. It's probably the most addicting game Nintendo has ever made. The frustration of losing just makes you want to play more.
Story (10)
As I was saying earlier, the story is much different than the regular Pokemon games. You are a human, but you turn into a Pokemon. You start having weird dreams. You don't know how or why you were turned into a Pokemon. You start a Rescue Team with you're partner, and go on a lot of missions. I don't want to give anything away, but the story gets really good. This game has a better story than a lot of books and movies that I've seen / read. It is probably my favorite story of any video game.
Depth (10)
There is so much to do in this game. Apart from the main story, you can also save people in dungeons that you've already been to. Even when the story ends, the game doesn't. There is always something to do. You can revisit dungeons, try to get new Pokemon to join your Rescue Team, and save people that send you letters in the mail.
Difficulty (10)
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Red Rescue Team is a very difficult game. It would take me weeks, sometimes months, to get past one dungeon. I would get so frustrated because of how hard it was. But I would always come back to play more. What makes it difficult is that some of the dungeons have a ton of floors filled with really tough Pokemon - and you only have 20 items to get through the whole thing. Here's a hint: before you go into a tough dungeon, stock up on Reviver Seeds. You'll need them.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Red Rescue Team is a very fun, though very difficult, game that I strongly recommend playing. I think it's really cool that the Pokemon you are is based off of your personality. It has an incredible storyline and there is always something to do. You will get mad at times or think that it's impossible, but after a lot of trys (and a lot of Reviver Seeds) you will be able to beat it.
