reaper its because drawing takes forever and i thought i'd fail but once i got into it i couldnt stop myself from finishing it and making sure that it'd turn out ok. it took me almost an hour. and editing takes around... 20-30 min. haha

It would be much easier to have a theme that can be interpreted many ways. That way the judges not only have to judge by how good a piece looks, but how the artist displays the theme.
I think if you put more importance on that people will be less intimidated. And if you want to open it up to photography, it would have to be judged separately from "hand-drawn"(digital art counts as hand-drawn) pieces.

I just stopped by to see what it was about...
I'm not a very talented artist (although I have my moments) but I could still try and draw something.
Maybe not for this one, but for another.

I'd show you, but right now my scanner is freaking out and not accepting anything. Anyways, I'd be willing to try and enter in the next art contest.
