Guys, remember when I said Most Handheld Rugrats games were crap?Well, most of them are,I really prefer the console ones, but this one is on the GBA.And It's not so bad,but not great either. This is Rugrats Castle Capers Released in 2001 for the Nintendo GameBoy Advance.
Graphics-7
The graphics are pretty good for it's time! They were bright and colorful unlike the other handheld Rugrats games. The sprites are great as well! They're basically the sprites from the other GBA, and GBC Rugrats games but they look re-mastered and new which makes them look great! The backgrounds were to bad either! But I wish they had more detail.
Sound-9
The music is amazing!I remembered every single song in the whole dang video game!I know I say this a lot but that Rugrats charm is everywhere in the soundtrack! They really went all out to get as close as they could to the Rugrats games for the PS1,N64,GC,and PS2!
But the positives end here!So you know what that means......It's time for the negatives.
Addictiveness-4
This game is not very addicting,You will play it to a maximum of 5 to 6 times, then you will probably never play it again unless your bored and you want a good rugrats handheld to play.
Story-4
Stu Pickles,The Father of Tommy and Dil.Makes A Pop-Up story book play-set.He tells Tommy and Dil's grandfather,Lou,to watch over Tommy,Dil,And there other friends. He says he will, but falls instantly asleep.Kimi Finster Sees the pop-up play set and talks about it with the other Rugrats.Angelica Pickles,Tommy's mean 3-year old cousin takes all there toys and goes into the play set and keeps them so they can't play with them.Tommy and the gang go into the book too to get there toys back so they can play with them!And......That's the entire plot,
I mean,I don't come into a game expecting it to have an amazing story. But this has so much potential when it comes to the story.I mean, there inside a freaking story book!
Depth-3
This game is not that big,There are only a couple of levels and I beat it in a short amount of time.
Difficulty-7
The game isn't that hard due to level design. But it is hard due to some sloppy controls. They weren't bad all the time, but they could be slippery at times and it was hard for me to control the character in mid-air.
Overall-6.4
This game is not that bad for a handheld Rugrats games. This is as closest they can get to the console games on the GBA.
Hope you enjoyed reading this.
