Wrong, common sense alone would tell us that the lower your brightness, the more energy you save. If you keep a light bulb dim, wont it last longer than the one on full blast?

I keep my brightness low, I get headaches easily, and my house is usually pretty dark.

I can't stand low brightness, although it does save energy. I prefer things really bright as it's easier to make out and see, and therefore I can have more fun. I hate low brightness when watching movies, it's terrible..

I usually keep it medium to low, no matter what. One, the screen doesn't overheat, etc. Two, it saves energy and battery. Three, Barely, if any, head or eyeaches cause of it, cause my eyes HURT when anything is too bright.

Well, for me, I just adjust my screen brightness to the max. Usually my laptop is always connected to it's charger and I never use it without it's charger so I pretty much have nothing to worry about, plus the screen looks much sharper and vivid.

I usually adjust the brightness to 50 percent because it saves some energy and also 100 percent brightness is way too bright on my laptop. Think about looking at the sun through a telescope. Now imagine that on your screen. Who in the world would keep that at 100 percent?

I do not use full brightness becuae it wastes too much energy and it hurts my eyes sometimes. I dont use low because then I can barely see.

When I'm outside, I adjust the brightness to 100 percent specially if it's day time. When I'm inside my room, I change it down to 50 since it hurts my eyes to look at a very bright screen in a dark room.

Nice thread you've got here, I've got one of the newer monitors, And I keep the brightness just a bit higher than it's default setting.  So that way It will work and be very vibrant with the color temp that i'm using

I have the brightness on my laptop completely off. The brighter it is hurts my eyes, and when I have to have my laptop on during class without being plugged in, it makes it so I can sit in the class with it on and not worry about it dying.

I hate looking at my parents' laptops or even any of their other devices. They have their brightness up completely and it hurts my eyes, especially on a white screen.
