With that said Pokemon Yellow is the Pokemon Ash ketchem adventure to the T, and it really makes you feel as though you are Ash Ketchem setting off on your journey in the Kanto region.
Graphics: 8 "So what are the graphics like in Pokemon Yellow version?" Well the graphics seen in Pokemon Yellow version are easily the best for there time but considering today's standards they are fair, not to poor not to great. The game is in color, but every town is one color and every object in the town is the one color including your trainer. The Pokemon are in color but there animations(forms) look distorted. Also there is no backgrounds in the Pokemon battle scene's. Sound: 8 "What can be heard in Pokemon Yellow version, what can be expected out of the sound quality?" Pokemon Yellow version's sound is decent nothing really special about it. Each town has it's own unique soundtrack that play's for the duration of the time you are in the town. The Pokemon sprites do have battle cries when they are put out into battle and each Pokemon's battle cry is unique none are the exact same. The soundtrack can be heard with ease and it has clear quality. Addictiveness: 7"Were you addicted to playing Pokemon Yellow version?" Yeah I was it was pretty addicting because it allowed gamers who are fans of the Pokemon franchise to play though the Ash Ketchem adventure, what I mean by this is you could obtain all three Kanto region starters like Ash Ketchem and for the first time every in the Pokemon franchise Pikachu is your starter and he's outside of his Pokeball following you around like he does with Ash.
Story: 6 "So what's the story like in Pokemon Yellow version?"The story is your a young 14 year old boy who is just starting out on his Pokemon journey in the Kanto region Pallet town. So your character upon waking up runs into a field of grass with no Pokemon and then Pokemon Professor Oak is forced to come to your aid since a wild Pokemon attacks( that wild Pokemon was pikachu). Oak then captures the wild pikachu and takes you back to his lab to get your first Pokemon. Once your in the lab Oak grandson Gary(your rival) is there and he is also waiting to receive his first Pokemon. Naturally after you get your first Pokemon,your off on your grand adventure. You will face 8 gyms and the elite four but be careful as their is a evil sinister organization bent on enslaving the Kanto region and all the Pokemon and people in Kanto. Depth: 6 "So how big is Pokemon Yellow version and how much does it offer?" Pokemon Yellow version isn't very big map wise, there are 10 towns. The is a moderate amount of things to do, you can gamble in the game corner, go on a Pokemon catching safari and of course beat all 8 gyms and the elite four and you can catch all 3 legendary birds, Mewtwo, and Mew(catch Mew by doing the Mew glitch).
Difficulty: 6 "So how hard is Pokemon Yellow, what's the difficulty like?" Pokemon Yellow version isn't very difficult to beat. If you build a well balanced team meaning diversity in different Pokemon types then the game is a cake walk but a enjoyable cake walk. The game's A.I. is brainless and makes constant mistakes which makes so it's pretty easy to out maneuver and beat. Overall: 9 Overall Pokemon Yellow version is the Ash Ketchem adventure to the T. Although the graphics aren't the best the game is still worth the play and is pretty entertaining. You can obtain all three Kanto starters as the game progresses and you can do the Mew glitch. I recommend Pokemon Yellow version to any fan of the Pokemon franchise especially if you are just starting out in the franchise.
