I do not see anything weird that elders are playing Video Games.
I think it shows that they have a interest in this generation and how they love it.
So no, I do not think it is weird.
It is like saying someone of the new generation likes listening to Henry Hall.

I don't think it's weird at all. If they're older and want to play, I say go for it. Lord know's I'll be playing for as long as I'm able too. 

Faithnomore : Plus you can't blame them since the days of pong consoles and mediocre movie games and the days where anything good or bad could be made were all they had and the graphics these days probably blow them away. LJN made some terrible games for the NES and SNES

I'm actually glad when someone who is elder plays our current generation's video games.
It shows that they are not afraid to use the current technology.
It really takes a lot of patience to teach an elder to use it.
The reward is worth it because you know you can relate to an elder.

I don't think its weird to see seniors playing any kind of video game. My parents are well into their 50s and they still play every once in a while. My mom still plays Dr. Mario and Tetris for the NES all the time. She even plays Tetris Plus for the PSone sometimes. Its funny to see her get mad at the game because the game doesn't give her the pieces she needs (we've all been there before, right?). My dad doesn't play nearly as much as my mom does but he will occasionally play any Tiger Woods game I have. He's actually pretty good at it too!

I have a friend who's dad just turned 50 last week...I've played online with my friend and his 50 year old dad since the first Black Ops came out. We've played Black Ops 1&2 and Modern Warfare 2&3 together, and he's gotten to the maximum prestige in each game. I also play online dynasties with him in NCAA Football 12, 13 and now 14.

No, It is not and never weird. Old people miss their retro games back then, like Pong and Pac man or something. I do not blame them for anything. They just miss those games.

Not really. Some play casino games. Hell, my grandma still play the slots online.

It is not weird it is just someone doings something they love, do you like bingo? Cause that's for elderly right? Its the same thing its just an older person enjoying something they find fun to do.

I actually love seeing older people play video games. I've never personally seen anyone over 53 play video games, with exception of hidden object and puzzle games on a pc. I still enjoy seeing my parents play video games. I don't really know why, I guess it's because I love gaming so much, and I enjoy seeing others enjoying it for themselves.

The way I see it, when you and I hit 65+, we're not just going to set the controller down and say "What do these whipper snappers see in these confasticated games anyway?" lol We'll keep on playing, and we'll love it. The only reason seniors playing games is so rare now is because the game industry came along after they had already reached adulthood, and most gamers became gamers as children.

Weird, no. Humorous? Yeah, but it depends on what the game is, to be honest. If I see an elder person playing some Pac Man, and kicking my butt in it, then I got some respect for them.
