Well, hello everyone, it's me again! I apologize for not making a game review for a while and I hope to become more active in making game reviews and I also hope to improve more in my reviews. 

Well, okay, Whats up with the title of this review?

So basically in this hack of Sonic the hedgehog, instead of playing as Sonic, you this time play as Ray the flying squirrel and probably 99% of the people reading this review never heard of this character before. Well, same here actually, I never heard of him either. Unfortunately, he is not really a well known character. I believe this character has only shown in another game call SegaSonic the Hedgehog. Also he is great friends with another forgotten character, Mighty the armadillo. You guys probably never heard of Mighty the armadillo either, right? Their is also a lot of other Sonic hacks out there that allows you to play as Mighty but I don't think there is other sonic hacks that lets you play as Ray though so I guess Mighty is more known than Ray. The poor flying squirrel is completely left in the dust. 

Gameplay: 6

Well, so does Ray the Flying squirrel have any special moves or techniques? Well, you guessed it! He can pretty much glide in the air. Just while you are  It's a little similar to knuckles' signature moves except he can't attack enemies or can he climb walls. So if he bumps into a badnik, he will just lose all of his rings or lose a life if he doesn't have any rings left. Also a really annoying thing that could pretty much make you fall in to danger easily is that if you make him stop gliding in mid-air, he will just drop down to the ground very fast and I have no idea what is the point of having this.  However their is one little advantage of his moves that knuckles doesn't have, which is that when you turn Ray from left to right or right to left while gliding, he will instantly just turn fast but it's not really much of an advantage so knuckles signature moves beats Ray's signature moves by a long shot! Also another thing that really sucks is that Ray can't do a spindash just like the original Sonic in Sonic the hedgehog.  Also Ray's jumping height seems as high as Sonic and he has around the same speed of the original Sonic in Sonic the hedgehog, but the problem is that the physics of the original Sonic the hedgehog game is unchanged in this hack so when he runs down a ramp or hill, he will go in a normal slow speed unless he rolls in to a ball by pressing the down key while running. Also I am actually not done describing the disadvantages of this game. A really dumb thing about this game is that when you go into final zone, surprisingly the game would just freeze when you enter the place where you get crushed and shot by projectiles which really sucks! However all other levels would work fine. Yep, I guess the gameplay is full of disadvantages so it doesn't really deserve a high rating in my opinion. 

Now let's describe each detail of this hack of Sonic the hedgehog!

Graphics: 7

Well, I guess the graphics once again is the same as the original Sonic the hedgehog however, let's talk a little about Ray and his flickery sprites! Now, why did I call it flickery sprites? It is because once in a while Ray will just start flickering out a little which is a little creepy and also Ray would really flicker out several times when he is idle until you move him, but thats not really much of an annoying thing here. The real annoying thing is his appearance! I'm not saying that he is ugly but his face is barely showing in his sprites, lol. Also at the title screen, he looks very weird and blurry, while in the original Sonic the hedgehog game, Sonic doesn't looks blurry at all in the title screen and he looks more heroic instead of a weirdo. Eh. . . Okay, I'm being a little mean, lol, I feel really bad for this forgotten character now.

Sound: 8

Well, the sound isn't really changed, actually it is not changed at all. Same background music, same sound effects. . . etc. Exactly like the original Sonic the hedgehog so their is honestly not much to talk about here I guess. . .

Addictiveness: 4

Well, the game isn't really that addictive in my opinion. I probably wouldn't want to play this game again because I could just play as knuckles with more of a enhanced and cool signature moves. I'm not sure what else to say but their really isn't anything special about this game that would make you want to keep playing it again. . .

Story: 6

Well, it's just the same old and simple story as the original Sonic the hedgehog games. Eggman the dictator using innocent animals as a power source of destruction and it is up to Ray the flying squirrel to go and stop him and save all of the innocent animals before it is too late. Yep honestly nothing else to say here. . .

Depth: 7

Well, not so much depth in this Sonic hack I guess. It is pretty much almost the same as the original Sonic the hedgehog game. The only thing that didn't make the rating for this a 5 or 6 is that they decided to make the most forgotten Sonic character his own adventure to defeat Eggman except it's the same exact thing like Sonic's adventures. Well, at least Ray was able to get some appreciation.

Difficulty: 7

Well, I guess the difficulty would be a 7. It's more of the traditional way of difficulty throughout levels. It just starts out as a piece of cake at the beginning and then it slowly gets harder and harder as you go on. It especially gets much harder when you reach the terror of labyrinth zone and scrap brain zone!  

Overall: 6.5

Well, thats pretty much it. It's honestly not really much of a great game but it's at least not much of a failure either. I hope you have enjoyed reading this game review! You're current layout Forces me to constantly scroll to read the rest of this review.. (on a side note: I'm starting to notice that sonic hacks are getting much reviews as pokemon hacks are)
