I very much loved this game when I was a kid, and I very much love it now. Me and my friends used to play this all the time. I believe this game came with the N64 that I got, and I immediately fell in love with it. The graphics were good at the time, and the game play was smooth. The sound was great. I normally played with it turned way up As for addictiveness....man, countless hours went into this game between me and my buddies. The story is similar to every racing game, somewhat nonexistent. But hey, who played it for the story anyways? It was a racing game. Even without much of a story, it managed to maintain pretty good depth. There were plenty of unlockable racers and lots to do. Unlocking them all was quite difficult and that's where my difficulty rating comes from. I highly recommend this game to everyone, not just fans of racing games.
