I personally like Mega Man more, it always challenges me and it never gets boring (unless you play it 24/7) I've heard the greatness of FF, but I could never get into it.

FF and megaman are both challenging games but FF seems to be better for battles adventure and plot(sometimes)but the megaman X series was very good and enjoyable.
