E3 “Day One” started off with a Nintendo Direct broadcast. This was anything but impressive when compared to Microsoft and Sony. Nintendo decided not to “waste” money on doing a media press conference like Sony and Microsoft. Instead they decided to go their own way with a self-broadcast of Nintendo Direct. This is something that Nintendo has been playing around with for months. So it was only normal for those who have the Nintendo Wii U and the 3DS. However, the broadcast was anything but impressive. There were times that things froze, or were so pixelated that it was hard to see clearly what the game play was like with certain vids. It was to the point that most sites were having troubles running the Nintendo Direct that even the media from E3 didn’t know where to go to see a working feed.

However, when you look at what Nintendo will be doing in the next couple of months. Nintendo fans should be very excited. There will be some good games coming out towards the end of 2013 and going into 2014. One of the biggest announcements was Pokemon going into a 3D style type game play with Pokemon X/Y. Another announcement that will get Nintendo fans pumped was the showing of bayonet 2, which shows a new and improved main character. However, that announcement that tops both of these is the showing the Super Smash Brothers will be coming to the Wii U in 2014. Super Smash Brothers will have two new characters the villager from Animal Crossing and Mega Man. All in all with an E3 of new game consoles being showed and hyped, Nintendo did an okay job when it came to exciting those who already owned a Wii U and 3DS. However, what Nintendo lack to do was draw in those that have been on the edge when it came to buying into Nintendo.

To continue with the E3 buzz, Nintendo has stated in response to all the use game mayhem. That if publishers was so worried about people buying used games then they should make better games. Nintendo's Satoru Iwata stated this in an interview with ign.com earlier this week. Iwata states, " That the best countermeasure in stopping people from buying used products is to make a product that no one would want to sell."
Iwata in the interview with ign.com seemed very disappointed with the results of E3 2013. He stated," We're competing with each other in terms of who is creating the most fun games. However, it seemed the focus was more on which machine is more friendly towards used games, or which machine is $100 cheaper." Iwata end's his interview with an apology, saying," I'm sorry that we're missing the most important discussion about video games."

1. You should fix your layout.
2. the villager is from animal crossing. not monster rancher.
3. the wii fit trainer was also announced for samsh bros. 4
4. Pokemon X/Y was already announced. At the nintendo direct they just showed more stuff about the game.

Thank you for the heads up on the Monster Rancher/Animal Crossing mix up. I fix that, as for Pokemon X/Y yes it was already announced, however, it is what Nintendo showed at E3 during their little Nintendo Direct. Which, had its problems being broadcasted and had a few including ign.com reporters scrambling just to find a working feed. Thank you for the corrections though.
