Ok, I saw that Nasus thought the Bush thread should turn into a current events thread but it was rightfully closed so I decided to start one. Pick one topic for this and only one. well, I think 10 years is adequate...

I'd be pretty pissed if I had to spend 10 years in jail for "torture and humiliation".... I mean.... it almost seems excessive, except that I think the US government wants harsh punishment to prevent more occurances, and to increase the worlds view of them

John thats foolish, you sound like a child. Hatred is objective yes, but its not without reason. The reason is not always valid but there is always a catalyst.

In response to the 10 year sentence, this guy is just a scapegoat. The orders for the "abuse" came from a much higher source than this guy. This is just meant to try and find some closure to an issue that could turn out to be an enormous scandal if fully investigated. We'll see how things unfold I guess.

So anyways, the hollocost happened because people wanted to hate the jews, right? Thats a perfect example. They wanted somebody to blame their problems on. Dont call me foolish. Expecially when i am not. They want us to be the root of their problems. It is easier to blame us then themselfs. How about in the old south? People wanted to hate the blacks. They were taught to also. Same thing happens in the middle east.

But the sentance was fine. The guy learned a lesson, and will never do it again. That i can assure you.

He was also upset to see the outcome of WWI against Germany when Germany was not the one who started the war. The old south didn't hate the African Americans. They were also seen as inferior because the state their society was in when they were found. The African American were oppressed and enslaved, but they weren't hated by most of the people. Thinking something/someone is inferior doesn't mean you hate it/them.

I hate it when people think everything is BLACK AND WHITE.

I also hate the fact that people are demonizing Iraq.. Their loss.

If life was Black and White, Well it'd be a hell of alot simpler to be a good person. But in reality nothing is black and white. Things you do in life you think make you a good personal may end up being your downfall..

In general life isn't black and white. But some things are. People (liberals for the majority(from my experiances)) like to nit pick all these little details and not look at the big picture. Really its kinda funny. They just keep runing around, finding all these little things that are bad. They live their whole lives just all sad and mad and frusturated cuz stuff isn't going PERFECT. Sometimes people need to look at the BIG picture. Things are fine. Relax and enjoy life while you still can.
